I am an experienced fisherman and have also been big game fishing before; but not in Tenerife. I went with my son (13) so he could experienced being on a boat, find sea legs and just experience this adventure, 4 hour trip. Booking was easy just call via Facebook and Mick will sort it all out.(English speaking and run company) Got a taxi to the Port Los Christians and the boat is easy found. There were about 10 on board but the boat is big enough to handle it, mixed. abilities. Jack (who's Mick's son) and the crew attended to the rods and baits, providing cold drinks and beer for the brave. I found them all very helpful and friendly. Beautiful scenery with turtles and dolphins spotted in the calmer waters. It's been a bad year for onshore big game fishing but there is always a chance. The crew worked hard in spotting when trolling with 2 hits on skipjack tuna shoals. It was great fun watching the different reactions of the anglers in the frenzy that followed. The water did get a bit choppy at times which tested some but was fun as we skirted those crested waves.
After a few hours we anchored up in calmer waters and went bottom fishing. Nice touch was the sun umbrella's and of course another beer, was hot and sunny! Well chilled then another flurry of activity, 4 stingrays in a row which bent the rods and tested a few fella's onboard, one of these stingrays was a beast., All were released. Overall, my son had a great adventure and is now looking to do it again. I would recommend for beginners, families and those wishing to try it out. For me I just love fishing and there is always, always the chance of the big one! (English speaking and run company)
