We have just returned from a two week stay in apartment 1107 at Torres Del Sol. On first arrival, we were a little concerned when we saw two tower blocks. However, we had no cause to be worried.
We were met by the owner who gave us two sets of keys (including a safe key). Unfortunately, we do not speak Spanish and the owner did not speak English, but we got by and the owner showed us how to use the washer and oven. The apartment has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, even including a washer in the kitchen area. The quality of all of the furnishings is very high and the bed and sofas were very comfortable. The standard of the apartment probably accounts for the slightly higher than expected rental price. There were only two things lacking... a toaster and a fan (or Air Conditioning) but this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the holiday.
The location of the apartment really is 2-3 minutes easy walk from the beach front (one of the best beaches in Tenerife). This was the main reason we chose Torres Del Sol, since both my husband and I have some issues when walking any distance. This resort is ideal for this reason. There is also a large Mercadona to the rear of the resort (although it is up a steep hill (I took a breather half way up)). The prices at this Mercadona are far better value than either the onsite supermarket or any of those along the front, and there is much more choice (very like an English big name supermarket). As an example, we bought 20 enormous fresh langoustinis for just over 5 euros! They were scrumptious!
The views from the balcony are of the beach to the front and the mountains to the rear. I don't believe we could ever get tired of the views.
The onsite bar offered snack food and a good selection of local and named spirits plus beers (including John Smiths bitter in cans).
One tiny 'niggle' on site is that you have to go to reception to ask to use a sunbed around one of the two beautiful, well maintained swimming pools and this costs 1 euro per bed per day... and reception wasn't always manned, particularly around lunchtime. That said, both pools were brilliant and had clean, good quality toilets available for use by bathers.
As well as the excellent restaurants within walking distance, we also got taxis to other parts of Los Christianos to meet up with friends and had some excellent restaurant meals. We can highly recommend the Mongolian Restaurant and KikiRiki in Los Christianos. We also got a taxi to Puerto Colon and had a meal at the Marina Restaurant (great food and service again) followed by live entertainment and Karaoke at the Bahia Bali restaurant slightly further along the beach front.
We would certainly consider staying at this complex again.
PS. The following question is asked in the rest of the review in respect of the holiday: "Was it a good value for the price paid?". I would say that the apartment itself is of excellent quality, however, the complex doesn't offer the 'extras' such as onsite entertainment during the day for younger holiday makers and, when we were there, it was fairly quiet. There was an evening act - generally later most evenings but if, like us, you eat fairly late, then you would only catch the last few minutes of the act. Because of this only, I believe the price we paid was probably not good value (we paid £930 for two weeks), but we have no complaint at all about the apartment itself. It is for this reason only that I have said it is not good value. If we had paid a lower price, it would have been far better value, but I would stress that this is more to do with the complex and NOT the apartment. .

Expectacular sea views. Very nice location and the beach is just at 2 min walking distance. Very nice and comfortable apartment with everything you might need. Also lots of places to eat and drink. Also recommended for families or friends. Would repeat.
