Beautiful part of Eire, the people where so friendly including the family. Slight problem with hot water but soon rectified then non paying guests (mice) well it is the countryside after all, they gave us traps and we caught one, so that was a bonus! I think an outside table and chairs would be welcomed, it was basic but comfy.
Great little cottage. Looks to be recently renovated, and in very tidy condition. Has all you could wish for: hobs kettle, toaster, microwave, cooker, TV, etc.
A nice wood-burner stove sits in the kitchen/lounge for cooler evenings (or you could use the central heating). Also has 3 bedrooms and bath/shower room.
The area is amazingly picturesque; (our young son, was so excited to see the sheep out of the kitchen window at breakfast!).
The owner (Lorraine) was very helpful, laid-back, but on-hand if needed.
We found Peggy's cottage perfect for touring around. Culdaff beach is a lovely sandy beach and less than 10 minutes away. A trip from Greencastle to Magilligan lasted 15 mins on the car ferry. Malin Head was very scenic. Fort Dunree was about an hour away but well worth the drive.
The only very small negative was no lock on the bathroom door. The cottage itself was very cosy and exceptionally clean.
Thank you Lorraine.
We had a very memorable stay.
