Tricky one. Very old décor (obviously purposely so) but pleasant and large. Very well attended on last Friday of September. Friendly atmosphere ... someone was celebrating a birthday and the whole place joined in singing Happy Birthday to the elderly lady. Wife and I had Eye Fillet with prawn topping and the only disappointment was the topping of only 3 small prawns for the additional $9.90. Eye fillets (pieces selected by us from display) were cooked as specified and very flavoursome and tender. As mentioned by other reviewers, the pepper sauce was much too weak. Old style jacket potato was excellent as was the coleslaw. I was a little reluctant to order the coleslaw after reading some previous comments but glad I did, the pepper sauce adding to its flavour. Garlic bread was fine. Son and family had ribs and the two children had a steak (child) dinner which looked great. They all enjoyed the dinner and desserts, and two of us had coffee. Son wished there was an option for mashed potato but owner said they were having a consistency problem at the moment. With a bottle of wine and one Moscato, the meal could be considered reasonably priced at $306, but again three small prawns for $10 is unreasonable. Would go again.
