It was raining but we went anyway equipped with plastic ponchos from the servo. We drove from Kingscliff via Murwillumbah and the scenery was stunning. I think it's one of the most beautiful drives in the world. Small villages with towering trees, flowing hillsides covered in lush green grass and cliff faces shrouded in fog. The National Park is well managed, the paths are very easy to walk and there are many viewing platforms. The walk isn't long, elderly folk were handling it with ease. Pathways and bridges. Park entry is free, there is parking. The hoop pines, giant red cedar and glimpses of wildlife make this trip even better. You won't be disappointed.
