Great hotel, Great Location, Would Recommend!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 22 June 2012
My husband & I stayed here as part of a one night Red Hot deal advertised on their website. We paid only $159 for the room which included entry to Seaworld, Wet 'n' Wild and Movie World over the 2 days.

We found this to be excellent value for money which we would recommend to others looking for a good place to stay. It is ideal for visiting Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast as well as all the nearby theme parks. Our room had two Queen sized beds and was very clean and modern in design. It has clearly been recently refurbished as the interior of the room looked much newer than the general state of the whole resort which is beginning to look slightly dated in design.

It had a great swimming pool which was open until late, a decent sized gym and was in a great location for visiting the nearby area. For the price we paid we couldn't really fault it except that we found the prices of the buffet restaurant quite expensive for the resort which is why we dined out for dinner and breakfast.

Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend to others at the great value price we paid.

Believe me... this is the first time ever that I've seen a lizard in my hotel room. very very unacceptable. There's also a stale smell in the room and it was very pronounce once u eater the room. While I find bath tub as shower area is acceptable but definitely not without shower curtain. we had to request for it. very isolated area except to Seaworld. food are expansive at restaurant and it does not taste good. Front desk staff are quite curt. but conceige and housekeeping were very good. only value I find is the theme park entrance fee included in room. otherwise not a good place to stay.

Got a good rate during a Wotif sale, that included entry to Seaworld, Movieworld and another place that we didn't go to.

My biggest complaint is that you cannot get anything to eat for breakfast other than the buffet which is $29.50. What if you aren't very hungry and only want something small like a muffin? At 10am the Lounge bar opens which has offers smaller meal options but we didn't want to hang around that long. Also the transfer to Movieworld comes well before 10am so bad planning by management. I guess they want to milk as much money from guests as possible. We avoided dinner in the main restaurant as well but thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese restaurant on-site. Very tiny portions though (tiny bowl of rice, miniature miso soup, etc), but the food quality above average but quite pricey.

The resort is big and left s good first impresssion. But our room was very small and very dated. Like something from the 1970's. The young girl bringing our bags to our room noticed we didn't have a luggage rack but didn't rectify the situation. Bathroom was old and badly needs refurbishment. Jug to boil water was equally old and dated. Luckily we didn't spend much time in our room.

Seaworld itself was a good experience, my little girl enjoyed seeing Dora. Movieworld was not that great. The characters (Looney Tunes, Batman etc) are not modern, it's very old school, like being stuck in a time warp. We visited Dreamworld (owned by a different company) few days later which is MUCH better featuring fresh modern movie characters like Shrek, Madagascar, Puss in Boots etc. Will not return to Movieworld, not worth it. Also the food is ridiculously overpriced like $7.95 AUS for a basic pre-made egg & cucumber sandwich. Ice cream 1 scoop $6, etc.

I agree with a previous reviewer saying everything you have to pay for. Management just want as much money as possible from you. The Kids club, if child is under 4.5 a parent must stay but still costs $10 per hour.

again we got a incrediable deal through myfun.com otherwise may not have stayed as prices are usually quiet high. 2 nights with 3 days fun park pass and a dolphin experience for @$350.
I was very impressed as never stayed at Seaworld before because I had heard it was run down and I felt too far from the action of Surfers. But for the deal I thought we'd give it a go. We usually stay at the Paradise Resort, but can say that in my opinion Seaworld Resort leaves it for dead. It has the same amenities and is so much more organised and spread out you don't feel like you're swamped by other people and their screaming children.
The rooms have a modern fresh feel about them, the grounds are immaculately kept and staff are only too happy to help.
the down side would be that it is very expensive to eat at the resort. So would definately pay to bring some things to save money.
The pool area is amazing and has a nightly light show in the children's wetarea to music.
Would definately stay here again.

We arrived at Sea world Resort and we were made to feel very welcome at check in and with the concierge handling our bags. The foyer and the whole resort is light and very relaxing with rooms among gardens and palm filled corridors.
Our room was quite nice with 2 double beds, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, safe and a bathroom with a shower over the bath plenty of towels and small complimentary shampoo soaps etc.
We got a package with entry to Seaworld, Movieworld and Wet N Wild included with the accommodation. On check in we received our vouchers and went straight into Seaworld. Ticket entrance is through the gift shop at the resort and you have the option of jumping on the monorail or just walking into Seaworld via a gate. We chose the gate as we wanted to go to the Dolphin Show which is right next door to Seaworld Resort so only a 5 minute walk.
The resort mainly caters for families so obviously their is a lot of excited children running around. The pool area is lovely and choices of restaurants on site. We bought our own cereal etc and used the mini bar fridge to store our own water and cold milk, juice etc. We had a standard room so no kitchenette with no microwave toaster etc which we knew about when we booked. Their is live music Friday and Saturday night in the main area with a piano bar there.
Our room didn't face the pool area and we found our room to be extremely quiet which was great. You don't spend much time in your room so a view didn't worry us.
Check out had a line-up but the line moved quickly. You do have an option of filling out a form and dropping your keys and form into a box for a quicker check out option. The great thing with Seaworld entry included you can go on the day of check-in as well as the whole of the next day. So we had 3 hours of Seaworld on check in and went in early the next morning before heading off to MovieWorld. No charge for car parking at the resort either.

Me and my boyfriend stayed stayed here at the start of 2012 with his grandparents. It was the first time that my boyfriend and I had ever been to Queensland to. The room we stayed in was great. So modern and clean. Our room was facing the pool thankfully because there wasn't really anything else nice to face so try get a room that is facing poolside. The resort has absolutely everything!!!!! Only 2 downsides to our stay here was that the spa was not working and the other thing was that one day we were out for the whole day- got back late afternoon and our room had not been cleaned, we still had dirty towels. But oh well. The pool was very nice!!! Each night that we stayed there my boyfriend and I went for late night swims in the pool after all the kiddies went to bed. I suggest this resort to people with children, it is much more suitable for family's rather then people with no kids. Also restaurant is very expensive. It was cheaper to eat out rather then eating in the resort restaurant. But had a great gift shop! Got a brown leather roxy hand band that I love :-)
