I was looking for a room close to a conference I was attending. I found the apartment very comfortable and very quiet which was just what I was after. The receptionist was very helpful when I checked in and was happy to come over and answer a question that I had.
I did not have time to use the pool or the gym facilities. There is also a Coles and a McDonalds within easy walking distance of the resort.
I was fortunate to have the sole use of the villa for the weekend but If there had been two large cars to park in the double garage I think that it would have been a very tight fit as the laundry is located in one corner of the garage.

Stayed at Royal Woods Resort as it was close to Metricon Stadium for our trip from Melbourne to watch the footy. Although starting to look a little dated inside the villa units, it still had that feel of luxury especially outside with all the gardens, 2 pools (1 indoor heated pool) 2 spas and recreation room. Being a gated resort also gave it a secure feeling and the staff there were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: all villas had easy access and all appeared to have a garage if you had a car

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway that included a trip to the footy. The staff at check in were really friendly and helpful, they showed us to our house and where we would find everything. The apartment was very clean and lovely. It had everything we needed including a fridge, microwave, laundry facilities and a patio. It was basically a 2 story house and we had the top level. We loved it. There was security gates at the entrance and which made us feel really safe. They have one indoor and one outdoor pool, two outdoor spas and a steam room. We recommend having a car to get around and found it a nice walk to the stadium. We will definitely be returning.

Thank you for your lovely review of our oasis hidden in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the beautiful Gold Coast. When we planned the Resort, we wanted it to be luxurious accommodation in a central location that allowed our guests to enjoy all aspects of the Gold Coast, from the Hinterland to the ocean and everything in between. Our aim was to create a home away from home for our guests to feel, comfortable relaxing in. We are pleased that we met the brief for your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back with the same friendly hospitality for your next visit to the Gold Coast.

I needed an apartment close to the Commonwealth Games HQ and this was within walking distance and a good rate.

The apartment is large and spacious and quiet! Yes, it's dated (late 20th century) but it was clean and tidy and had everything you needed including a lockup garage for the car.

The locality has easy access to shops, small restaurants and Metricon Stadium. I would say it's fantastic for a family or business stay as you can get to the Surfers Strip in approximately 20 minutes or can go up or down the M1 with little issue.

I could have given 4* due to the age of the apartment but believe, due to its location, and size, and nightly rate including parking and wifi, it deserves a 5*.

Also.. a shout-out to Lachie on the front desk who showed excellent customer service skills at all times.

Wee stayed for couple of nights with the family when wet came to see the commonwealth games. We had a 2 bedroom townhouse. It was spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living areas and a full kitchen and garage. The place needs to be maintained better as there was a cockroach in the kitchen and the place was dusty triggered an allergic reaction.
It is located in a residential area and fairly close to the carrara stadium which was very convenient for the games. There is a swimming pool at the complex. It's a very quiet and high security place. Not sure of the reason for this high security.

Thank you for your review of our Resort. We apologise that your stay with us wasn't the perfect experience our team strive for all our guests to have. We will review our cleaning logs for during your stay to see where our procedures let us down so we can ensure it doesn't happen in the future.

Ashmore is a low crime area on the Gold Coast so there is no particular reason for the high security. When we designed the resort, we simply wanted it to be a gated accommodation development for peace of mind for our guests while travelling.
