Every detail was graciously attended to. wonderfull to have the company of the Alpacas, and cuddly Cocker spaniels on the estate....butterflies, fragrant lavender, birdsongs in the morning, Fabulous architecture, sunsets over the horizon, and accommodating hosts. All was a dream out of time. I will return again and again.

I stayed here with my husband and 14-year old son. The house is simple but striking, made of stucco, timber and stones from the area. Built into the side of a hill. Full kitchen. Wonderful view of the town below and the equator from the dining patio. Quiet. Hiking trails up the hill and walking trails below. We used the house as base camp for short trips to Quito and drives in central Ecuador. It was one of the best trips we've ever taken!

We stayed in Mr. Pena's mountainside "perch" for a year, it was the favorite place we have ever lived. Mr. Pena is a wonderfully creative and "organic" architect, and he has created the most wonderful residence!
Solar, very "eco" and a wonderful place to stay or retreat in a natural environment while enjoying the proximity to Quito.
