Just returned from holiday to Fuerteventura after 11 nights stay. 58 Las lomas was ideal for my husband and I, with plenty of room for both of us. After arriving at airport we gave Janet a phone and met her and her partner Andy at the las lomas complex, this was pre arranged with Gillian the owner before leaving the UK as Gillian was not going to be in Fuerteventura at the time of our visit. Taxi was very reasonably priced from airport at just over €10.00. Janet and Andy gave us all the information we would need for our stay at las lomas and made arrangements to come back in the week to give us clean sheets and towels. The apartment was very clean and tidy and well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It is in a very nice area of caleta and takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the centre although we hired bikes so took less time getting around. We also had a car for part of our holiday too and had no problems with parking there were loads of spaces at the complex. We enjoyed it so much we are hoping to return next year again. This was our first time doing self catering we always used to go to hotels but thought we would try sc this time and must say it was much better. We used tommy nutters restaraunt on the complex quite a few times, their breakfasts were great and very reasonably priced €7.00 for 2 full English, the chicken burgers and chips were also a favourite. We also used the bbq about 3 times out of the 11 nights at the apartment and bought groceries from the spar at the Atlantico centre or hyperdino or the mercadona, which were all fairly priced. There are so many nice eating places in Caleta you are spoiled for choice we tried quite a few restaurants out while there, Chinese, Indian, fish and chips, fish restaurant down the beachfront and on our last day tried the chocolate shop out which served delicious desserts. It felt more personal having Janet and Andy meet us on arrival and again on departure and I knew they were just at the end of the phone and 5 minutes away if we should need them for anything which we didn’t but was reassuring to know. Just wish we were still there but unfortunately all good things come to an end, would highly recommend las lomas for anyone thinking of doing a self catering holiday. Gillian and Alan the owners were so helpful from beginning to end and answered any questions I had the whole process couldn’t have went any smoother. Thankyou Gillian, Alan, Janet and Andy for a great holiday, and hopefully we will see you next year again.
Great apartment/bungalow on a lovely complex.
The apartment was very clean and tidy with the sheets and towels changed after 1 week.
The location is very good and the complex has a lovely pool bar which does very good food and is very reasonable
We will definately be returning!
Excellent communication from the owners throught the booking process
Nice clean apartment in a great location just on the edge of the town centre, and therefore convenient to shops, restaurants etc but situated in a quiet, mature complex where we encountered no intrusive noise. Excellent advance communications with Alan & Gillian. Also, the on-the-ground caretakers Janet & Andy were very helpful. It's a short 15 minute walk (or 3 min taxi ride) to the Atlantico beach which, although also reclaimed and 'man-made,' we found much nicer than the contrived harbour in Caleta itself. Bring wind protection however!!! Our only minor issue was that the little back patio area is quite exposed to neighbours and passers-by, so lacks privacy. But since it's such a quiet spot and everbody seems very polite and respectful, - and there is a lovely secluded second pool just up behind the apartment - we found places to stretch out and relax. Overall happy to recommend.
The apartment is in a good location only 5 mins walk to the centre and the beach. It's spacious, well furnished and clean with good amenities including Wi-Fi, Uk tv channels, washing machine and BBQ. Complex is lovely with bar and restaurant on doorstep. I was unsure of private rental but I'll definitely do it again. Thanks Alan and Gillian.
