myself and daughter stayed here for 9 days.in 2006 from the 21st novemver.the apartment was great.2 rooms beautiful furniture.full kitchen dishwasher dryer washing machine.just around the corner in the mall we found a chinese restaraunt all you can eat for around 10.00.the best thing about this stay was the friendlyness of the staff.when i go back to qld i will stay there again..thank you to the staff..graeme zerna.melbourne

Myself, one other adult and a 7 year old stayed at the apartments for 7 nights. We booked them mainly due to the affordability and location. Only a block and a half to the beach, 2 blocks to the Oasis Mall and heaps of restaurants at the end of the block.

We were pleasantly surprised with our apartment. It had a great layout - a queen bed in one room with an onsuite and 2 single beds in the other room. It had another full bathroom with shower over bath, washing machine and dryer.

The apartments all face north so get sun for most of the day. You can see the beach from the higher units - we were on level 4 and could just see it. There is a park across the road and you are surrounded by either other low rises or tennis courts, pools, etc, so don't feel hemmed in. There is a large apartment block planned between the apartments and the beach so that could change.

We booked the apartment over the internet on a site which said the pool was chlorine and was heated. The pool was salt water, very small and quite deep and was not heated so was very cold the first day we were there. After a week of warm weather it had heated up enough to actually swim in. There is a shallow cold spa pool at the end of the pool which is good for younger children to play in. There is also a separate spa pool. I wouldn't book the apartments if you and your children want to spend hours swimming.

Overall we found the apartment to be clean, tidy and roomy. It had a fully equipped kitchen and good storage, etc. The owner said they are all furnished differently so I guess it is the luck of the draw. We thought they were above what we were expecting for 3.5 star apartments.

I would definitely recommend staying there if you want an apartment with a great location at an affordable rate.

We booked into the Barbados twice on our holiday, first for 3 nights(from here we had 4 nights in sydney) and then came back here for another 7 nights...

The apartment was really well set out, with a large balcony and a view of the beach (which was less than a block from the barbados) the location is excellent within walking distance of many restaurants, the oasis mall, pacific fair, the casino, 50meters from the nearest bus stop,

Every apartment has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and ensuite and another with 2 single beds...the kitchen is small but functional...the main bathroom has a washing mashine and dryer and there is also a seperate toilet

fans in all rooms as well as air con in the lounge/kitchen
Everything was really clean and tidy

the couple running the barbados were really nice (Kiwis) and really helpful, we had the same room both times and they held a suitcase for us...while we went to sydney

We paid 135.00AUD per night for the 2 bedroom appartment and had my partners daughter and her friend (who live on the gold coast stay with us for no extra charge)

We loved the Barbados and will definitly stay here again on our next visit to the gold coast.
