Good room. Breakfast, excellent. Little contact with staff; restaurant and checkout were great. Small annoyance when checking in, they made a point of mentioning a couple of times that I had a cheap room with disability facility. Made it sound like the room would be uncomfortable which was not the case. As I travel for business, found the late daily housekeeping (3:30 pm) did not suit me, as I was working. Will revert to my usual hotel.

Just had an amazing 7 night stay at Sofitel Broadbeach. Was faultless from checkin to checkout. We arrived quite late into the evening- a bit tired after a long day - to be greeted with a very welcome glass of champagne. We were immediately greeted as valued Accor guests with smooth checkin.
Our ocean view room was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and well maintained. This aspect continued throughout the hotel as we moved about and enjoyed the hotel facilities. Buffet breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever experienced.
The location is superb- short walk to beach, serviced by public transport and free bus to Pacific Fair - and the casino if it interests you. The Broadbeach area is very ‘ genteel’ with an abundance of great restaurants.

The Sofitel Broadbeach was so close to everything. The beach was just across the road and there were plenty of dining options on the strip. My suggestion is not to eat at the hotel but try the local surf club or any of the local restaurants. It’s also an easy 15 minute walk to the pacific fair shopping centre
Old and tired. The rooms are poky and the decor is tired and tacky. We last stayed here 5 years ago and I'm sure that absolutely notig has been done to the rooms since. This is definitely not a 5 star experience. 3 stars maybe. Accor should either renovate or rebrand the place. Only giving it 2 stars because it is a great location.
The Sofitel in Broadbeach on Australia’s Gold Coast was comfortable and the staff were fantastic but the hotel is definitely showing its age and looking a little tired in parts.
The good parts that truly reflected a 5 star image: the staff, the wonderful coffee service at breakfast, the facilities (good swimming pools, a decent gym).
The not so good that drag down the rating: worn furniture in the breakfast restaurant, bathrooms that need updating (including a very small shower cubicle).
The fact that the hotel has a gaming machine lounge off the main lobby also detracts from any attempt at an upmarket atmosphere.
The hotel is well located - immediately above a shopping centre with Woolworths and a large choice of cafes and restaurants. It is also about a 15 minute walk to the huge Pacific Fair shopping centre and close to the beach ( a few hundred metres)
