“Lovely cottage, beautiful location, and so quiet.”
Reviewed 18 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Casale dell Ulivo is a lovely two bed cottage set in a quiet olive grove. If you need a peaceful location to relax this is the place. Well equipped and the owner and her family were extremely helpful.

“A Home Away From Home in Western Sicily”
Reviewed 18 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My wife and I, along with another couple, stayed at the Casale for a week. It was a spacious, clean, well-appointed cottage with two bathrooms and two large air-conditioned bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. We made espresso every morning and ate bread and cheese from the local markets. There was a lovely patio with a spectacular view of the Sicilian hills. On one side of the lane leading up to the cottage there is an olive grove. On the other side, a vineyard. You can easily walk into town for a nice lunch or, at night, pizza. Several fine beaches can be reached easily by car, and Palermo and other sites are a short drive away (GPS a must). The owners, Johann and Margo, were always available to give us some valuable travel tips. Ask about Il Pianeta del Gelato in Trapani. The casale was a home away from home in Western Sicily.

“Wonderful Stay!”
Reviewed 12 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My husband and I stayed for two weeks in this wonderful house and had a fantastic stay. The stone cottage is lovely and well appointed, beautifully situated amongst grapevines and olive groves and just outside the small town of Buseto Palizzolo. My husband uses a wheelchair and the house was ideal, flat, no steps, generous spaces, double doorways for easy entry, paved areas around the house. We have suggested grab rails in the main bathroom to improve access further. Wifi can be supplied for a small extra cost which was very convenient. And the kitchen was well fitted out for home cooking. Margo the owner was a delight to deal with, so generous with all her information about the property and its suitability for us, as well as lots of great information about the region. Buseto had all the amenities we needed - bakery, butcher, fruit and vegetable vendors, small supermarket, chemist, bancomat, bars and a restaurant. This part of Sicily is rich with things to do and the cottage is within half an hour to an hour from the north coast, Greek sites, and towns like Trapani and Marsala. But it was always a delight to return and relax over a glass of wine. We cannot recommend this property highly enough!

“Relaxing stay”
Reviewed 23 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

HI fellow travelers,

We have stayed at Casale del Ulivo in May with 7 people, grand parents, parents and kids.
Had a very good stay. The cottage is well kept and the surroundings are beautiful. Imagine you are sitting in the garden next to the olive trees, grapes and a palm tree. In front of you there is a stunning green mountain.
Another advantage of Casale is its location, it is central to many places one may like to explore in Trapani i.e. beaches (~20 min dirve), zingarno, Segesta, thermal batches, Erice and not to be missed Trapani itsels.
Cottage is located just few steps away from a small town where you can find good pizza and a restaurant (pepe and nina for pizza and much more.
We had really good holidays. Would recommend for family stays.
best regards

“Peace and Tranquility”
Reviewed 20 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This lovely house, which is very tastefully decorated and is equipped with all amenities, is situated bang in the middle of the Trapani province. The views from all windows and gardens are simply breathtaking, making you feel so in touch with your inner self and nature. This place is ideal for those who long for some peace and tranquility - the only sounds you hear are birds chirping and the gentle whispers of the wind. Nevertheless, the house is still quite close to the town centre making trips to the local shops an easy affair. This lovely place is definitely worth another visit.
