“Very pleasant stay”
Reviewed 16 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Very lovely cottage in an amazing place. Everything was very clean, nevertheless the amount of electricity and oil is very expansive because to obtain hot water, we had to switch on the heating and it wasn't cold weather...! A nonsense it was difficult to explain to the owner that is not very friendly. Shame!

RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER

Thank you for your review, which we have only recently come across. We are glad you had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the cottage and location overall. However, we were disappointed to read you found the electricity and oil expensive, as it really is not so.

An average cost would be around €25 euro a week for both utilities, which is very reasonable. Unfortunately, you did leave the immersion heater on during your stay, which explains your higher bill of €46 euro for the week.

We do leave explanations as to how the hot water works in the cottage and would have been happy to show you had we known you were having difficulties.

We are sorry if that put a dampener on your stay and do hope we can welcome you back to the cottage again in the future.

Stayed at the cottage for a week in the summer with our adult children. The location was perfect for us, quiet and remote but not too far from the facilities in the village nearby. The cottage is beautiful and has everything we could have needed and more. The rooms were light, airy, clean and comfortable. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed seeing the visiting rabbits every morning. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach too. I plan a return visit in the future and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, picturesque getaway.
