We had the luxury of staying in this villa for a week while visiting Croatia and it was absolutely beautiful. The hosts were very gracious and made sure all our needs were taken care of. From booking to arrival to departure Toni was very responsive. The home was spotless and grounds well taken care of. We enjoyed every moment, from watching sun come up sipping coffee on the patio, afternoons in the pool, evenings having dinner playing games on the large outdoor table. Amazing views from everywhere in the home and plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. The property is in a perfect location, close to Dubrovnik to visit and everything you could need within minutes. The restaurant and pizzeria recommended by hosts delivered to the villa and was excellent. We hope to visit again someday, if you're considering a villa in Dubrovnik area do not hesitate to book this you will not regret!
A group of 8 (four couples) had a superb holiday at Villa Lantoni. It is difficult to make sense of the space from the many photographs - but we were able to enjoy solitude and holiday as couple in one of the abundant hideaways while enjoying group meals and relaxation in a choice of communal areas. Everyone could have the holiday they desired without impacting on others.
We were blessed with fantastic weather which meant that we could open all the pool doors allowing the outdoors to spill into the covered space - but we could swim without concern for our shoulders! Prosecco at 16:00 on the pool bar stools was an absolute treat as were the jacuzzi and back massage under the water jets.
Duba was an attentive but discreet hostess, despite her broken leg, plying us with her home made liqueurs! Despite our late arrival we were met with welcome drinks, fruit, biscuits and more information than we could absorb.
We had hired cars but still used the local taxi service suggested by Duba for a wine tasting excersion at prices way below the local tour guide offering.
The walk down to Mlini was possible for even the less fit members of our group but the walk back up was challenging to say the least!
The only thing that we could criticise was the kitchen space - or rather the lack of it. The outdoor kitchen is lacking a fridge, dishwasher etc. and the indoor kitchen is tiny compared with the rest of the property. There is a wall just aching to be knocked down to create a fantastic kitchen/dining area! However, we didn't starve and the crockery, cutlery and glassware was all abundant so there was no need to run the dishwasher until it was groaning!
The property is spotlessly clean with comfortable beds (nothing saggy here) and quality appliances throughout. There was nothing we didn't make use of from the chaise longue to the gym! The stunning postcard views from every balcony and terrace were to die for both during the day and lit up in the evening.
We did find the local mosquitoes quite active, so would recommend some protection before sitting out in the evening or wandering through the trees adjacent to the beach area.
As is the case throughout Croatia pebbly beaches are the norm, so pack swimming shoes to make the transition from sea to land bearable on your feet!
The Mlini area is outstandingly beautiful and transport by water taxi to Cavtat and Dubrovnik is reasonably priced and makes the journey almost as enjoyable as the destination.
Book this villa with confidence. The place is splendid and your on-site hosts couldn't be more friendly, helpful and accommodating without being at all intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish our budget would allow us return immediately!
Villa Residence Lantoni is the perfect family holiday hideout. We are a family of eight, three generations and the villa provided comfortable, extremely spacious and relaxing accommodation for all ages. The pool went down particularly well as did the spacious pool terrace where we held our family "disco night". There is everything there that you could possibly need and our "hosts" were extremely welcoming and friendly. Dubrovna did everything she could to make our stay perfect even though she had a broken leg!!! The views were to die for and we were extremely lucky with the perfect weather also. Mlini is a small place but everywhere is accessible from there should you want to go further afield. Dubrovnik is a very easy boat ride away, as is Cavtat. Our granddaughters loved the peddle boats and the inflatables in the sea. I can honestly say it was the most perfect family holiday and, yes, we would return and recommend it to anyone. Thank you Toni for it all.
Brian and Diane Peck (and very happy family)
Everything was perfect - stunning views, plenty of room, comfortable beds, cold air conditioning, wifi that works well throughout, fantastic pool and sauna area. We were a family group of 11 (including 5 teenagers) and Residence Lantoni was ideal. The kids enjoyed the rooms downstairs, while the adults had the larger room upstairs with ensuites. But, by far, the best thing about Residence Lantoni is the family that runs it. Toni was extremely helpful in organising our day trips and airport transfers. We received many home cooked treats from Toni's mother. The family lives on site but are very discrete with separate entrances to the property. The family works hard behind the scenes to ensure that the property is immaculate. The local mobile phone that is available to use is a fabulous idea and very convenient. The bush track and stairs straight down the hill to the water/bus stop/bakery is not that bad. If my elderly parents can do it with their bad knees (slowly up and down), then almost anyone can do it. We had a wonderful time!
Everything! This place is amazing! We stayed here for our wedding and housed my entire family. The place was so lovely and we never felt crowded. The views were amazing, the host was like family, and we never wanted to leave. A couple bonus things about this property. Although the night of our wedding we stayed at the hotel where we got married, when we returned to the house there were rose pedals leading to the bed with a heart shape of pedals on the bed. The bedding had been changed to white silk sheets and there was a bottle of champagne. What a nice touch. Also, because the place was so nice we decided to host a Bbq with all of our remaining guests, around 24 people. The host arranged for a chef to come and cook lamb/veal under the bell. When we got back from our hotel the afternoon after the wedding the chef and staff were hard at work preparing the meal and setting tables with white table clothes and beautiful place settings. Mind you we requested this 2 days before as an after thought b/c we wanted to share this place with all our friends and family. This was probably the best meal of the trip and so much fun. If I had it to do all over, I would've just done the wedding at the villa and saved a lot of money. The other thing the host arranged was for a massage therapist to come in and do massages the morning of our wedding. This really helped ease our tension on this big day. Again, this place is amazing!
