Absolutely fantastic weekend in this amazing house! Melv was brilliant and the photos don't do the house justice! Absolutely amazing facilities and everything you would need for a wonderful weekend in the country! Just come back from the hen do we had here and am devastated to be home! Will defiantly come again!

“An absolute gem!”
Reviewed 15 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Our group was made up of grown up and children - and this place was perfect. We didn't have to move out of the house for the whole weekend.

This is a genuinely lovely property - quirky and interesting but still with all the mod cons that one might wish for. The bedrooms are full of character and most are also en suite (with some impressive bathroom furniture going on). We stayed for a weekend and ate in the large kitchen on the first night, tried the more formal experience of the dining room on the second and on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon had lunch in the conservatory.

For the weekend rental, we also got to stay on Sunday evening with 'check out' being 10am Monday - unlike other large houses we have tried where the rental only goes to Sunday afternoon.

This is a great place to chill out for grown ups and loads of fun for the children too. The pool is a great size and temperature - with a small children's pool attached. Nice pool side furniture as well for the supervising adult to relax.

The owner Mel is in the attached house and on hand if needed. He was helpful and welcoming without being in any way obtrusive. When we told him we were using the dining room for dinner on Saturday evening, he gave us wine! I was the last to leave on Monday morning and he thanked me for our stay and gave me a parting gift of more wine! I'm not guaranteeing that's a regular thing, but does illustrate what a lovely bloke he is.

We are planning to return next year and getting caterers to do dinner one night to make it even more special.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.

“AMAZING”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

What an amazing place to spend a special sisters 40th birthday. The house is full of character and beautiful old furniture and is so easy to settle into. We had an amazing weekend. The owner popped in from time to time to check everything was ok like the ph in the pool, the hot tub was not foaming, we had enough logs etc. It was nice to see him and we always had a question for him. It was like we had been transported back to traditional times but yet we had the facitlites of modern day life, ie wifi for the teenagers, huge american fridge, beautiful Aga. We actually spent a lot of the time in the kitchen believe it or not. It was like the heart of the house. There was loads of clean towels. The other thing I noticed was how warm the house was I had packed jumpers because I know how cold character houses can be, but we actually had to turn some of the radiators off. We had an amazing weekend and have lots of lovely memories of our stay. When travelling the sat nav took us up the farm lane which was the turning before Hagg Hill Hall. So if it decides to take you down a farm lane, don't - wait a couple of hundred yards and you will see the entrance road with two statues at the roadside. Bingo you have reached your destination. Looking forward to seeing a beautiful Stag picture hanging there one day too to match some of your bronzes xx

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at Hagg Hill Hall. A great house with the added bonus of a heated pool and hot tub. Would definitely recommend and book again.
