Description: We are a general village store, selling a variety of every day items, plus some more unusual items. We sell everything from fresh bread, milk and vegetables, to local beers and wines, to soap and pet food. We also offer a takeaway hot drink service, with seating available in our sunny courtyard garden, or inside during the colder months.

Myself and my partner were visiting Winchelsea for the weekend and found this lovely little place situated not even 100 yards from where we were staying. Although the coffee shop was closed, we still sat in the lovely seating area and had a cup of tea and a sausage roll, which were lovely and fresh and very tasty! The service was friendly and warm and was a great way to start our day. This shop has lots of character, just a shame it's so hidden away! Will definitely visit again if returning to Winchelsea.

Just about the only place in Winchelsea to get a hot drink during the day. It's the village shop, but also does drinks and cakes - we had an excellent Eccles Cake. You can take away or consume in seats at the back.

Just popped in for a coffee and were astonished at the range of provisions and groceries available. Coffee bar now closed but the shop sells take-out coffee/tea which you can drink in the gardens.

Lovely shop, the staff were friendly and treated our 12yr old daughter so nicely. Had a lovely coffee and sat in the back yard. Will definitely come again

Winchelsea is a small village off the A259, most motorist drive past, or drive thru the village. To maintain a butchers or cafe the amount of paying customers has to be there. This is so variable that the butchers and cafe had to close.
This is a shame but they have made the best of things by allowing the customers to consume what they have purchsed in the lovely garden at the back.
The prices are not supermarket prices, but reasonable otherwise you will have to travel to Rye or towards Hastings for the next Supermarket.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, but I sometimes wonder if all the customers are?
In all a very attrative village shop with that little extra that makes you feel at home.
