Very cozy and characteristic hotel. The pool is very nice. We felt part of the family while we stayed there. There is a lot of personal contact, if you like, but also enough privacy if that's what you prefer. The Dutch owners are very flexible and friendly.
The owners made our last day in Portugal very special. Absolutely fabulous stay, beautiful hotel with amazing garden. Very memorable dinner cooked by owners. Beautiful room and bathroom. All stay went well, we miss that place already. Good location, 1.20 hr drive from the airport. Thank you for lovely stay.
One of the best place where we stayes accidentally found it. Super family atmosphere, beautifully decorated inside, too bad we did have more time to stay. Those blue tiles, pictures, a real home feeling, host and owner super friendly
I spent a few lovely days at Os Dois Galos with a friend, and the most vivid record of my stay is that it's a place with a personality. The villa itself has a story, we learnt, as does the charming Dutch couple who own it! Especially the hostess - she's fun, easy to talk to and all chit-chat, so you're treated more like a guest, rather than a client. The opposite of that impersonal feel of a large hotel. We were told about nice nearby beaches or places to eat in the small Deixa-o-Resto, so that was very helpful. Likes: the cozy pool, the indoor bar (& drinks fixed by the host) and the nourishing breakfast. Dislike: the bathroom looked pretty rundown, so an overall refurbishing would be welcome.
My wife and I stayed with our small dog and could not have been made more welcome.
Beautiful house furnished in character style. The food was excellent and the hotel is very close to a small village with more restaurants and cafes. The breakfast was a banquet!
