There were 11 of us that stayed here at the House from March 13-18. When we arrived we were greeted by the owners, who were very nice and welcoming. Showing us around and pointing out the "House Book" (basic instructions and house rules). First let me say, the house is beautiful and had we known or were informed (as we should have been) that the area turns the water OFF between 4pm and 6pm EVERYDAY, we would have booked somewhere else. No where in the description of the home, was it disclosed the water would start to lose pressure around 4:00pm to dripping an hour or so later! Then to be without any water till 8:00am...that's just wrong! Besides losing water which was bad enough we were told there was to be ZERO flushing of toilet paper. That in itself isn't bad, but to put your soiled TP in an "open" receptacle...completely unsanitary!!!Of the 11 of us there, everyone, but me got dysentery! I also was the only one NOT to swim in the pool. Swimming Pools are a huge carrier of E. coli! We were given 18 towels for the week and 7 Tide Pods to wash (our clothes, towels, sheets etc ...) we were given strict instructions NOT to use the hot water. How else were we to kill the germs? We also needed to go to the Supermacado (grocery store) to buy toilet paper and Purel hand sanitizer because with everyone throwing up and pooping themselves we went threw the four TP rolls they provided for the 11 of us for the week in just a couple days! Soooo no water, no covered receptacles, no knowledge of what we were all in for, no way to wash effectively are all reasons this beautiful home gets a poor rating! This was my third time back to Nosara, it will not be my last, I just will never stay at the Villa Belitza, where the owners knowingly kept information from us especially coming during the dry season and they not being fitted with their own water supply!
This fantastic oasis has everything an adventurous visitor could ask for and more. The rooms and accommodations are great for families or couples wanting privacy during your stay. The outdoor space has everything needed for a relaxing cup of Costa Rican coffee in the morning or libations by the pool during the day and/or evening. We particularly enjoyed the unspoiled beach which is a short walk from the property. Hearing the waves of the Pacific ocean from the house or the pool area are a reminder that you aren’t far away from the beautiful waters that are fantastic for beginners or more experienced surfers. The property is only a short drive or walk from outdoor attractions, a variety of restaurant options and much more. I would highly recommend this home for a Costa Rican vacation!!
This is the perfect property for reunion with friends and family. The layout is such that everyone can have a bit of privacy, but all gather in the large shaded patio area for drinks and dinner. The pictures do not do it justice! You are surrounded by trees and howling monkeys - and it feels incredibly remote when you are inside - however, you are a quick 5-10 minute walk to most restaurants/bars/shopping/yoga. The direct beach access path means you will never have to drive to go surf! I can't wait to book my next stay.
