The Rapeepan Ville in Ubol is a wonderful little hotel named after the owner's wife. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and efficient. The owner, Mr. Somsak Chotpradit, was kind enough to pick me up at the airport and deliver me the next day to my final destination, fifteen kilometers outside of town. The hotel is located down a quiet lane and is near shopping. The Rapeepan hotel is very good value for money, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Ubol.

Room tip: The rooms upstairs may be a bit quieter than downstairs.

Wonderful, small hotel in Ubon Ratchathani. Comfortable rooms, and very, very clean. Very helpful and accomodating staff. Free pick-up from the airport. Decent breakfast. Excellent value for money. Would only suggest slightly thicker curtains to better keep out light at night. Overall, highly recommended.

Stayed in this privately owned and newly built hotel for three nights... New nothing about it as it was only open around 8mths when we stayed.... The check instaff were warm and friendly (as is the Thai way!!..) and we bookes a junior suit. By European prices it was huge value for money....

The room was so tastfully furnished!!!... I loved it!!.. The room was spotlessly clean and the furniture was of a high standard, as was the wall mounted flat screen tv and cd/dvd player. The room had highly polished dark hard wood floors. The bathroom was small (no bath) but beautifuly tiled and had shower area. The hotel towels and toiletries were of a high standard. The beds in Thailand are huge and this one was no exception and were done in a Thai style... This a small hotel (only 2 floors) and i think had something like 15 or 16 rooms?.... Had a quick look in a couple of others and were all of the same standard...

Beware there is no cooked breakfast although they have a type of Thai soup available. I just had juice and lashings of coffee and some pastries... Adaquate for me first thing in the morning.... I don't think this hotel has a drinks licence.... But certainly no bar.. There is ample parking in the hotel and the hotel is off the main road and i found it to be nice and quiet and therefore a good nights sleep..

Check out was a joy and we met the owner of this hotel. He explained that he was about to retire then decided to build a hotel from scratch (as you do!!) along with an architect colleague and went ahead with this with no experience in the hotel trade.... Good for him and some of the large hotel chains could take a lesson from this person.... Hand picked staff and nothing was too much trouble.... Would highly recommend if ever in Ubon....

Many Thanks to the staff and good luck for the future...

Room tip: Have to say all romms were of a high standard and the hotel is in a quiet area... So take your pick!!
