Magda Hotel is located just 100 meters from the sea and you need just 2 minutes to jump into the sea. The rooms are very clean and tidy. It offers great amusement for the guests like animateur shows, tennis classes, polo and a lot more. The stuff is extremely helpful. The common areas are really nice and big. Also you will love to have the cocktail of your preference from the bar. Just enjoy your stay there!

Room Tip: Don't miss the shows

Magda Hotel Review

Holiday dates 18th October 2015

We booked this so my wife could enjoy our holiday with access for her battery scooter.

At both airports we had really good experiences, the transfer there unfortunately was not suitable for a scooter and difficult to get on but as you just want to get there we persevered.

Upon arrival to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised, it all looked clean etc. Access into reception and to and into our ground floor room was good and an adequate room which was equipped with a wet room shower but as previously mentioned a better shower stool would have been nice.

The evening we arrived we showered in almost cold water, I thought maybe end of the day they could have run out, this is Greece. In the morning the same so I complained, and it was not fixed until the Wednesday which was very disappointing.

The pool area was nice but no steps or ramp into the pool (though this was not advertised it did not say poor access to the pool either)

We were told not to take drinks away from the bar to the pool or our rooms! Quite difficult for my wife to keep getting off the sun bed everytime she wanted a drink so I bought plastic beakers from the shop. Unbelievable huh!?

There were no easy access toilets other than in our room.

The dining room was easily accessible but there was poor access around the tables. The food on the whole was good quality.

Agree with a previous review, 99% French but that was fine by us.

There was access into the bar but by way of a dark path around the back of the bar.

The staff seemed nice and friendly and our 8 year old daughter enjoyed the kids club.

We have 3 days of rain but myself and our daughter had use of the indoor heated pool.

To sum up, not sure if this should be advertised as disable friendly or at least the advert should have identified the issues we had found and not really a 4 Star in our opinion but close. From this though we have a better idea of what we need on holiday and will look out for in the future.

Stayed here early October for 5 nights nearing the end of the season.
Everything was very clean, the staff all very good. We wanted a relaxing break and this was perfect.
We had a disabled room as my partner uses a wheelchair, I thought the shower could be improved with a fold down seat, and maybe the bathroom floor could have better non slip tiles. But overall the facilities were good, ramps and slopes everywhere.
As others have said its is mostly French holidaymakers that stay here, which is a bonus if you need to get some peace and quiet, not speaking the language can be an advantage!
We did get the odd wiff of dodgy drains but this usually went away without any fuss.
The hotel does have free wifi in the lounge and bar areas which can be picked up in nearby rooms.
We stayed on the half board basis which worked well for us.
I would highly recommend the Isla restaurant near the beach, some of the other eating places on the beach seemed a little bit of a rip off with poor quality expensive food.

We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning & were greeted by a pleasant receptionist. The staff are all pleasant and friendly.

The indoor public spaces and bedrooms are all very clean but the bedrooms I felt were very basic. The hot water in the bedrooms would fluctuate, especially late at night when there wouldn't be much hot water. The bathrooms themselves do not have shampoo, shower gel etc that one might expect from a 4 star hotel. Between us (family of 4) we had 2 Bedrooms - one had modern fittings, one had clearly dated fittings with furniture which needed updating.

The outside environment is also kept very clean. However it, and our rooms on several occasions, would smell fairly strongly of sewage. When we asked someone to see if there was a pipe blocked in one of the rooms, someone came 5 hours later and didn't even bother checking properly as he didn't understand what he was checking for.

Food is of a good quality, especially the Greek meat dishes! However the choice for vegetarians was limited on some buffet dinners and it was not clearly labelled which dishes were vegetarian or non vegetarian (if it wasn't apparently obvious). Overall the service in the dining room and bar areas is good.

The large majority of the guests in the hotel are French, during our stay I believe we were the only British family there. Everyone integrated well.

Location wise the hotel is 100m max away from a lovely sandy beach. Walks along the beachfront are very pleasant especially in the evenings. The hotel has a shop attached to it which is very reasonably priced. There are a few small shops within a 1-2min distance but 10 mins away by bus/car you can find everything you need including local pharmacy etc.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Magda hotel. We can honestly say that in our opinion it is a good 4 star hotel. The rooms, dining room, reception area, bar area etc. are all kept spotlessly clean. The pools are cleaned daily and our towels and bed linen were changed every 2/3 days.
We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and very efficient.
There is a lovely sandy beach about 150 yards away if you like to swim in the sea.
We will definitely recommend the hotel and Gouves to our friends and hope to return in the near future.
