I was very impressed with this hotel. It was off the beaten path, and beautiful. We didn't get to do any lake activities because it was closed. Food was ok. Rooms were good. Loved the towel warmer in the bath.

Thanks for the review, I am pleased that you enjoyed the hotel and the location! The towel warmers are great when its chilly outside. I hope we see you again soon.

Stayed for a relaxing 2 nights. Great hotel, clean rooms, amazing location and views of loch ard. Hotel grounds are immaculately kept and are great to explore. Breakfast was good, also ate at rafters bar and grill, lovely food and service but a little overpriced. Swimming pool also good.

Lovely afternoon tea, nice selection of cakes, coffee was lovely, nice and strong.
Amazing views.

Spa treatments, I had a facial and foot and leg massage, so relaxing I fell asleep. Husband just used the spa facilities, pool, sauna and steam room.

A nice relaxing afternoon.

We stayed here whilst in Loch Lomond and initial impressions were very positive. The hotel itself is impressive, located in gorgeous grounds right next to Loch Ard and with a beautiful hilly back drop. Plenty of parking and a helpful and friendly welcome from reception staff. Our room was gorgeous - very large, clean, comfy bed, stunning views and all the necessary amenities. Nothing to fault other than the fact we were woken early by a man with a very loud leaf blower under our window. As has been stated in other reviews, the only thing letting this place down in our opinion is the food. Our meal at Rafters Bistro was really disappointing. Especially given the price. The bistro itself has a wall of windows overlooking the indoor pool - this was such a shame given all the amazing scenery around the hotel! It also meant the place smelt strongly of chlorine which wasn’t pleasant whilst eating. Service was friendly but even the most pricy wines on offer were horrible and our food tasted like school dinners. SUCH a shame given the exceptional quality of the hotel. There is a fine dining option which, on reflection, we wish we had tried.

We arrived at hotel that was pre-booked and prepaid by a tour company. Upon check-in we were advised that no reservation was in our name. I showed our voucher and Rachel was amazing. No problem, we have two nice rooms available and checked in very quickly. She kept apologizing for our inconvenience, which really wasn’t as Rachel dealt with it in a very quick manner. We received complimentary wine at dinner again for our inconvenience. Dinner was very good and so was breakfast The customer service at this hotel was outstanding We couldn’t say enough good things about all the staff but Rachel definitely stood out
