“Tranquil spot and beautiful views”
Reviewed 13 January 2013 for a stay in January 2013

Lovely cottage, tastefully decorated and clean and tidy. Comfortable bed with especially nice linen. A peaceful, relaxing environment, with beautiful bush and sea views. Not far from town (four mins by car), perfect for a couple wanting a weekend away. Genuine and down-to-earth hosts and the pottery studio onsite is also well worth a visit. Will be recommending this spot to our friends and family.

The cottage was lovely and peaceful. Catherine and Stuart were pleasant hosts who provided helpful suggestions of nearby beaches and restaurants. We stayed just three days and wished we had planned to stay there longer.

“Thoroughly recommended”
Reviewed 27 December 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We booked this studio accommodation on arrival in Coromandel town, at the Tourist Office. On a car trip around the Coromandel, we wanted a quiet spot, with a view of the sea. This was perfect - a clean, well-equipped place with a great view across bush and bay, very quiet. There's a pleasant walk down to an isolated beach, lots of birdlife and beautiful scenery. The place is far enough from the town to have a real country feel, but close enough to get quickly to the shops and restaurants. The owners (whose house is next to the appartment) are friendly and welcoming; a bonus is the opportunity to visit the pottery studio which they run.

“Great place to stay, thoroughly recommend it.”
Reviewed 7 December 2011 for a stay in December 2011

We have just had a super few days here. Catherine and Stuart are very kind, friendly and welcoming. The studio is exceptionally clean (always a plus in my book) and tastefully decorated. It has everything needed for a short break, (including a washing machine-a rarity in rented accommodation) and a big bonus was the superb view from 2 of the windows. It is well situated for visiting the Coromandel, a truly beautiful part of New Zealand.

Liked best: The views, the hosts, the studio.
Liked least: Loved it all.

“Beautiful surroundings, perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 20 September 2011 for a stay in March 2011

We arrived late in the evening and in the dark but we found it easily enough. Had a lovely welcome from Catherine, one of the owners, who gave us a large jug of fresh cold milk, which was most welcome! The rental was very clean, and very comfortable with plenty of room for the two of us and was also lovely and cosy. Good facilities - shower, hot water whenever we needed it, a washing machine and a deep sink for handwashing clothes. There were really nice touches like pottery that Stuart had made, tourist leaflets and guides which we made use of, the aforementioned jug of fresh milk, and tea/coffee provided in a pot in the kitchen. Parking was right outside the accommodation. One of the most memorable things about this place was the view from the kitchen window - absolutely beautiful. Very close to Coromandel town by car and a really lovely area to explore. We would definitely stay here again if we were in this area.
