Lovely hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. They emailed me in advance of my stay to let me know about the various tours and activities available in the area. The room was very clean and towels were provided too. I was in 5 person dorm with its own ensuite. The kitchen was large with plenty of cupboard and cooking space. Location was also excellent, beside cable car and a shopping mall with supermarket.

I had the best time here. The location cannot be better as it it right next to the cable that connects the city center with bus terminal. Since I never book in advance, I compared several hostals and opted for this one because is has a soul. The entire set up and decoration convinced me. The hostal has character and there is a lot of details. But it has also its own viewpoint over the hills next to Manizales. Very nice to have a drink at night or breakfast. The wifi is very good, the showers very hot and the hostel could not be cleaner. The kitchen has everything you need. This hostel has it all.

This was definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. I don't even know where to start. The hostel is located directly next to the Fundadores cable station, which is perfect if you plan on arriving at or departing from the bus terminal. The place looks very neat with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling in every room and lots of nice wood (floors and ceilings). It felt more like a hotel, than a hostel. The view from the rooftop terrace over Manizales is magical. You could spend a day just sitting there and watching the city. Also, the staff is just so lovely and helpful. When we had some organisational problems with the visit of the Rio Blanco reserve they dissolved everything in our favor. The area around the hostel is close to a big shopping street, but has some beggers around. They don't bother anybody and are very happy if you buy them some food from the bakery next door. In short if you come to Manizales, stay here!!

Just stayed at Mirador Andino Hostel and didn't want to leave!

We opted for the 4 bed dorm however when we arrived we were the only guests in the room with our own private bathroom. Absolute bargain at £10 a night each!

The hostel is in a great location. If you are arriving by bus, you can catch the cable car (which is in the terminal) straight up the hill and practically outside the hostel.

The hostel itself is very impressive, has a hotel vibe to it and each room is unique. The kitchen is huge with every type of appliance you could dream of and the roof terrace has amazing views. Great for a beer in the evening.

As you may have gathered, there isn't too much to do in Manizales but this hostel is located about a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral/Polish corridor and has plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby.

Every member of staff, including the cleaners were happy and smiley and couldn't do enough to help us, even if our Spanish is limited.

If you are visiting Manizales, stay here. You won't be disappointed!

This is a nice and clean (and inexpensive) hostel with a great location. It is next to the Cable Aéreo station (Fundadores) and therefore can be reached easily from the bus terminal. Downtown is withing easy walking distance, and the entertainment area in the Estrella and Cable sections can easily be reached by local bus or taxi. The people operating the hostel are very friendly and helpful. The hostel also offers great views of the city. Overall highly recommended.

Room Tip: The Atardeceres room (with private bath) has superb views.
