Slipped in here on a rainy day for lunch. They had a wood burner on (even in June) which quickly took away the cold and wet from us. Soup and sandwiches we had were superb and good value for money, although there were a few other items on the menu at lunch time. Would visit again if passing through.

Popped in near to closing time for a quick coffee with a grumpy child and had a good giggle with the staff resulting in a happy child who had gone from wanting nothing to eating a millionaire shortbread, described as the best ever, and drinking a hot chocolate, described similarly.
Couldn't have been more helpful or more fun.
Thank you, we will be back. You have been warned!

I have cycled 800 miles, LEnd to J o Groats and the meal I had in this bistro was the best during my travels. First class venison in super sauce, with asparagus, purée carrots, dauphinois potatoes, followed by sticky ginger pudding, toffee sauce and ice cream, glass of red wine totalled £30. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I live locally and have been to this cafe for lunch twice recently. Both times the food was nicely presented, fresh and tasty, with the cakes being a definite highlight!! Service was friendly and efficient and I'll definitely be visiting again.

I absolutely loved the food! The cafe during the day was lovely and at night the food was delicious, definitely worth going to even with a long drive!
