The 7 of us had a fantastic dinner at Kaag island. The foor was superb! We had the 5 course surprise dinner for just € 36,50 a head. All courses were subtle combinations and the duck main course was delicious.

The location is magic. The restaurant is located at a small island so the terrace is located at the water. The food is of very high quality and the pairing wines are very good. A must try is the coquilles with the ale vinaigrette. Best dish I ever had!!!

Kaag is already a beautiful small jem and Tante Kee is part of this piece of art.
I had a lovely lunch sat on the outside terrace with wonderful nature. The staff has been very cordial, provided the good suggestions, took care in small detail and found also some time to quickly discuss about the area. The waiting time was good and let me to have a nice conversation with my host.
Needless to say - the food was local, fresh seafood and tasty vegetables.
To be recommended 100%.

Last night we enjoyed a great dinner at Tante Kee. We were offered the opportunity to moor our boat right in front of the restaurant, which was very convenient! Awesome location (right at the waterfront on Kaageiland) and very nice terrace. Perfect for the sunny weather we had. After having our first glasses of wine on the terrace, we went inside to enjoy the recently redecorated interior as well - very tastefully done! And the art work by Erwin Olaf fits perfectly. We went for the 3-course meal, which is great value for money. The next morning we spoke with the owners: what a friendly and warm couple! We would definitely recommend going here, if you are looking for something special.

Ok - by bad I did not mean the food as I did not eat. Why? We wanted to have coffee at a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm as we hiked through the area. Answer - not possible as it is full. Well really? Looked around with so many empty tables I have feeling that they simply do not want people to sit there.

A good restaurant means treating customers with respect. ALL CUSTOMERS! Not just people with chic clothes and spend hundreds euros.

I am therefore giving out a bad - the second in all my reviews. I would say to those who truly love food, turn away from that restaurant for their pretentious attitude.

Dear Jiajia G

Thanks for your feedback.
Our apologies that we could not accommodate you on our terrace on a beautiful summers day, and we understand your aggravation.
We consider ourselves fortunate that we usually fully booked on the weekends and especially on the warm summer days. Our primary focus is the restaurant and as such we rarely accept guests that are interested in having a drink to maintain the quality of service that our diners are accustomed to.
Hopefully someday soon we will be able to welcome you in our establishment for lunch or dinner upon you making a reservation in advance.
If you decide to do so, we are sure to make your stay a memorable one after you experienced our fine food, wines and quality service.
Hope this finds you well, assuring you of our best care and attention I remain,

Yours sincerely,
Raymond Reeb
