In contrast to previous review our meal was faultless albeit over three and a half hours for the seven courses. The food was spectacular, more two star than one star. The variety in mixing of ingredients, presentation and taste was remarkable. There are also lovely touches of theatre for the presentation of some of the dishes. Service was attentive and friendly. Just don't be in a hurry, sit back and enjoy a very special experience.

Thank Camaderry

We were 2 for lunch.
One lactose and gluten free diet and one birthday celebration, both mentioned at the time of the reservation (3 months ahead) and upon arrival at the restaurant.

Nice décor and great location on the dunes.
Our table was along a wall and placed (very) close to another table of 2. We could hear each other’s conversation.

We chose the 7 course menu. As expected at this gastronomic level, the food was excellent : top quality, fresh, tasty, inventive, innovative and beautifully presented.

Unfortunately, the service does not meet the level of a one star restaurant.
There was obviously miscommunication among the staff. Some waiters spoke in English to us as they did not speak Dutch. It was not a problem for us but it could be for some people.
The gluten and lactose free dishes were served a couple of times to the wrong person. We had to ask many times for our glasses to be filled with water.
We did not feel we were treated as guests in a star restaurant. The atmosphere felt very impersonal. Nothing special was done for the birthday celebration, a small extra decoration on the dessert or a glass of sparkling wine on the house would have been more than enough !

Our entire lunch lasted exactly 5 hours ! Five very long hours…

Chatting with the two persons sitting (so) close to us, we found out they felt exactly the way we did : dragging lunch (they too had a 5 hour lunch), too many mistakes (one of their 7 courses was skipped (!) and their special dietary request had been forgotten …), they too had to ask many time for their (water)glasses to be filled.

We visit Cadzand a few times per year but will not return to Pure C. We were disappointed and agreed it was not worth the €350,- we were charged.

With high expectations we went to Pure C and we got more than expected. A sublime setting with personal assistance per table. We went for the 7 course menu with adjusted wines. Each course is a piece of art with heavenly tastes. The wines are surprising. Staff is very friendly. It was a top experience!

A refreshing culinair experience is the most South-West part of The Netherlands. Exquisite food. Fabulous wines. In a lounge-like atmosphere. A must have been!

I have an issue with this otherwise very fine Michelin starred restaurant and that is DOGS. How on earth can a restaurant of any quality allow dogs into their restaurant? It astonished me that this restaurant has a star. What are the Michelin inspectors thinking of? It does not include hygiene.
On the night we were there, three Huge dogs were in evidence (and also present as breakfast the next day).
Otherwise, since we were last there, the pre-dinner drinks were a diappointment. Before we had a show of making the very fine G&T with cinnamon bark etc.; this time it was just served to the table with no explanations.
The amuse bouches were one of the highlights. The food from the terroir was exceedingly good.
The petits fours (offered) were okay.
However, with drinks, the bill was going on for 600 euros so be ready for that. I think there are so many great one stars around right now that this restaurant but not become complacent.
I don't wish to appear too negative though. The young and casually dressed staff were excellent. Worth a visit - without canine friends!
