We love this restaurant. Always have. Hard work and dedication by the bucket load. These days there are other staff trained up to the same high standards of the owners Pieter and Sanne. Tonight we tried the menu of the month: beef sushi, fresh and vibrant, followed by the tenderest of lightly grilled tuna steaks and for desert a wonderfully onctioys, yet surprisingly light white chocolate mousse with red fruits. The village and surrounding area is climbing up the culinary Michelin ladder, but the pricing is sadly reflecting arrogance over pride.
Spuiplein 41 however hugely deserves an accolade of such magnitude. Personally though, I hope their feet stay on the ground, their minds sharp resulting in these wonderfully imaginative dishes worthy of a detour or special trip.
Really very impressed with tonight's meal! Well done Pieter, Sanne and team!
