We stayed at Villa Familia over Christmas and had a great time. The villa is very clean & bright. The bedrooms are big, in particular the size of the master bedroom is quite generous. The beds are very comfortable.
There is a separate little utility room with a washing machine which is handy.
The outside and the pool are lovely & very clean.
The dishwasher has a 'sense of humour', it may be worth upgrading.
We stayed in this area of Lanzarote last year but chose this villa this year as it was closer (about a 7-10 minute walk) to the local restaurants and supermarket. The villa itself was clean and comfortable and well equipped for our needs. The pool was lovely and is great for those with small children as it isn't too deep (about 4 feet at the deep end). The spa tub was a great way to cool down also and is big enough for 4 adults. We found a selection of inflatable toys and enjoyed using the table tennis (once we had bought some balls!) The sunbeds were very comfy and Harold supplied towels for outdoor use so no need to bring your own. There is some building works going on locally but this did not affect our stay. Local restaurants that I would highly recommend are La Flamenco, Sebastyan's (fantastic Greek cuisine - try the Kleftico!) and El Argentino which is great for steaks and BBQ food. Our thanks to Harold and his family who were available if needed but left us to it if not. Will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house and had a great time. The facilities inside are great and lovely and clean on arrival. The garden and pool at the back was just right for us and the pool was a perfect temperature, and our 1 year old granddaughter particularly enjoyed the small pool. You do need a car as it is about 50 mins to walk to the centre but a really beautiful coastal promenade if you fancy a walk. Our only suggestion would be to get rid of the table tennis table as its too windy and replace with a pool table. The table tennis table was also at the wrong height for our granddaughter and has very sharp corners! It would also be useful to have some fold up beach chairs that people could use which we have had in previous properties we have rented and a big bonus would be if you were to provide beach towels. A great holiday was had by all though, thank you.
Overall we were very pleased with the villa. It has excellent outdoor space with a large heated pool, a table tennis table and lots of sun loungers and tables and chairs. The villa itself is modern and clean and has good indoor space. We liked the sun room/dining room at the front and the kitchen was well equipped. There were two balconies off the two front bedrooms which were also nice to sit and relax on. The host was brilliant throughout the booking process through to checking that all was ok with the villa while we were on holiday. The reason for not giving five stars was that the internet TV did not work very well in the afternoon or evenings as the picture kept freezing every few seconds which was frustrating. However this is only a minor point and I would not want to put people off and I don't know whether anything could have been done about it. The master bedroom was a lovely spacious room but could have been even better with a king sized bed rather than a double.
However overall it is a great villa in a good location as you can walk to several restaurants and supermarkets at Faro Park but you do need a car to drive in to Playa Blanca or there are cheap taxis or a bus stop close by. We love Playa Blanca and have been many times and this villa was good value for money and potentially could be one of the best we have stayed at.
We had a lovely stay at villa familia, very clean and well equipped, great pool area and and nice and private.Supermarket, bars and restaurants within walking distance though car is needed to get into the town, there is a coastal path to walk into town but took us about 50 mins. Would love to return. Thanks to Harold for letting us check out late as we had a late flight.
