Some room tips , 157 isn't great in the shadows , so we upgraded to 372 , nice room , nice view , BUT no wifi .
They did offer to move us but we couldn't really be bothered to move again .
The Hotel overall is good , it is tired as people say , looks a bit worn , but still nice . Staff are very good , very helpful , good attitudes . The location is fine if you are looking for a quiet spot , no action or night clubs if you want these go somewhere else . I'm old , everyone here is old , no kids . I did see 2 under 30's , I think they were lost !
Food is fine , although sausages are cheap and nasty and beans aren't Heinz .
Pools are good , one is heated , the outside one is just ok to swim in if you are brave .
Gym is good with quality equipment.
Weather has been great and it's soooo nice compared to the frost and snow of Blighty .
Nice break .

Dear Tyreman01,

Thanks for your revoew, and sorry if you had an inconvenience with the wifi in your room that took us 20% off the rate. You should have had wifi, maybe there was an inconvenience with the anthene. At least My staff acted very well and offered you another room. As you, I had prefered to stay in 372, as that is in my opinion one of the pest privilege room.

Best regards,

Another visit, our 6th, to celebrate Valentines and our Wedding Anniversary (44 years and going strong). Yes the hotel could do with a little attention, here and there, but couldn't we all . Overall the hotel constitutes good value for money in a great location with the most amazing staff and customer service ethic. Nothing is too much trouble for the ever smiling staff throughout the hotel. It would be wrong to single out individuals but our experiences in the bars and restaurants deserves nothing but praise to hardworking genuinely nice people.
As H10 members, we travel independently and find prices much cheaper than with travel companies! If you need a taxi try Zip transfers, who we find cheap and very efficient.
For us the privilege option works and allows us to enjoy the Kasbah restaurant for breakfast and dinner each night, a peaceful environment with brilliant staff. They picked up on our anniversary and we arrived to a special table and champagne waiting for us.
At lunchtime both the pool bar and main restaurant offer a wide range of quality food, again served by caring staff.
You may have guessed, like many other reviewers have said, the staff make this hotel what it is. Not the paintwork and finishings, which incidentally, we find homely (our home from home once a year). As long as the standards demanded by the management are maintained we will hopefully continue to celebrate our Anniversaries in the Timanfaya Palace.
Thank you to all of the staff, both front of house and elsewhere for looking after us so well.

Room Tip: You get what you pay for! If you want a sea view, pay for it.

This was a return visit to a hotel we really like.
It is quite clear that the management of this hotel have trained all their staff to have guests as their prior concern.
They were friendly, professional and could not do enough for their guests.
Our room was superb, clean, modern with a spacious bathroom and was cleaned and restocked daily to a high standard.
The food was tasty, well presented and cooked to a high quality.
We upgraded to Privilege which allowed us access to the A la Carte restaurant Kasbah.
Here the standards were even higher.
All we can say is " La comida era sabrosa y deliciosa " !!
Service was always with a smile and professional.
Aword to management, it would be nice to have some heaters there for the winter months!
All in all this is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds, well managed and a joy to stay in.
Well done.

Room Tip: Sea view, possibly also one should think about an upgrade to Privilege benefits.

Dear finian29,

Thank yoou very much for your nice review and your rate of 5 points. Gracias!!

About your advice, you are right: It has beem cold (some days 10ºC during the night) and we are not prepared for that. As we have eldest people I bought all the heater that I found in Lanzarote, promised!, I bought all of them left (around 30).... adn we have some difficulties with the electricity: sometimes it came down in the rooms, as they are not prepared for some many watts...

Fortunatly, the sun is back and we have now 20ºC during the day and 16ºC during the night... and every day better and better...

Gracias. Kind regards,

Stayed here in early February
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and very well kept grounds . Enviable position on sea front with a decent walk to the port , town and then the marina .
Good range of evening entertainment and the other guests seemed very pleasant.
We had quite windy weather so pack some warmer layers in case it is changeable.
Sea view rooms are worth it for a lovely outlook to the tropical gardens and pools with the sea behind . We found that the balcony provided a sun trap and shelter from the wind . You can book a car at the hotel ... book early to get full choice ... we wanted a cheap run about but had to pay a few pounds extra as the cheapest ones had gone! It’s worth taking a car to the north of the island and seeing all the César Manrique sites given that this artist had such a profound influence on the island.

Dear susiemiller,

Thank you very much for your nice review and your rate of 5 points.

I see you pictures and is is difficult to believe that so green grass is possible in Lanzarote... !!! But yes, we had 2 previous rainny and cloudy weeks that made it possible. It was cold and hard (for us), but now it is time to enjoy a nice weather with a beautiful landscape.

:)

Have just returned from our fourth stay at Timanfaya Palace and am pleased to report it is as good as ever!
We were warmly welcomed by our friends on the staff and despite a few bad weather days had an amazing time.
We had so much fun with our friends in the bar. - Jony, Noemi, Jose-Antonio, Chris, Paola, Enrique, Pilar and Camillo.
We also had excellent service in the restaurant from Paula, Alfredo, Pepe, Erika and Israel. We specially enjoyed our breakfasts in the Kasbah where they willingly sent up to the buffet for Trevor’s black pudding to complete his full english!
Despite the iffy weather we enjoyed a few days sunbathing in the Privilege area where
Aroha brought us delicious fruit kebabs and cold drinks.
We will be back again later in the year - the hotel has, however, given us a real problem - we just can’t go anywhere else, as we are sure we will never find such lovely, warm people.

Room Tip: We were happy with 314 which overlooked the pool and the sea. Sun on the balcony from 11 till sunset
