We had a fantastic 2 week stay at the Villa Oriela. The villa had everything we could have asked for and more. There were just four of us and there was an amazing amount of space.
The outside area was stunning and the garden was particularly well kept and maintained to a really high standard. The view was amazing and the games room was fantastic. The pool was lovely and clean and a very good temperature.
We loved the way the outside area was lit up at night, against the back drop of Playa Blanca below, it was stunning.
We found it very convenient to get to the centre of Playa Blanca, a car is recommended or a taxi, which was very reasonable.
It was a nice quiet and relaxing villa and we would definitely book again. Karen and Mike were so helpful whilst we were there and thank you Kerry and John for making booking this trip so easy and all the information you provided before and afterwards.
If we had to pick one thing that we would have really welcomed, it would have been air conditioning in the bedrooms.
We had a brilliant time, fantastic home from home, plenty of space for everyone. We even enjoyed the walks to and from Playa Blanca (30 minutes - 45 minutes). Mike and Carol looked after us very well and suggested some great restaurants. Fantastic holiday had by all.
Fantastic place to stay-I would say home from home- villa was spacious, light and airy. Stunning views, quiet, peaceful and a wonderful place to relax. We were 2 couples but would also be ideal for families. John and Kerry were very friendly, excellent with communication and answered any questions and when we had a problem with wifi on arrival at the villa this was quickly resolved there and then with a quick phone call to John, nothing was to much trouble. We did not use the tv or games console, but the men enjoyed the games room thoroughly while the ladies lazed around the pool. Playa Blanca is easily accessible by car or taxi to Playa Blanca which cost 6 EUROS bit too far for us to walk. With a wide variety of restaurants with varying a price range we especially liked the Marina Rubicon.
The villa is on the side of a mountain facing east with panoramic views and looking out onto big mountains , the sea and the town. It is very quiet and very private and you feel remote yet only a few minutes drive from everything. It is a high quality villa, lots of space, with a lovely homely feel- something I often find is lacking in holiday lets. The area is upmarket too and very safe. We absolutely loved all the care and attention to detail from the owners and we will definitely be back.
We stayed at Villa Oriela for the first week in January for a bit of winter sun and to chill-out after Christmas and New-year madness. The villa was perfect for what we wanted. There was 7 of us but the villa never felt crowded as there was plenty of space and it had everything we could have wanted (even a bottle of Cava on the kitchen side when we arrived)
The pool area was lovely and the water was nicely heated.
The town is a good 20 mins walk which we enjoyed doing a few times but the taxis were only about 4 Euros so not at all expensive. We also took a hike one afternoon up a Montana Raja which is a mounting/volcanic crater right near the villa, it only took around half an hour to climb and the views are amazing.
We had bbq’s round the villa most evenings but if you would like a nice meal out then we would really recommend a restaurant called ‘the lighthouse’ (which is by the lighthouse, not in town) They do lovey steak and prawns. We also found that the Irish bar by the marina did the best breakfast.
Over all we had a fantastic week at Villa Oriela, we would definitely recommend it to friends and we hope to return in the future. Thank you John and Kerry
