“A terrific villa - An ideal property for a family celebration”
Reviewed 22 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Villa CoCo is a terrific villa and is exactly as the owners and various reviews describe it.
We rented Villa CoCo for sixteen nights for a family group of eight of various ages. Initial contact with Mike, the owner, was very positive and encouraging with the rental contract process being very straight forward.
The villa is beautifully appointed with excellent fixtures and fittings. A welcome pack of initial basic provisions which included wine were waiting for us on arrival. The villa is kept immaculately clean by Mike’s very competent and pleasant staff. Any problems or queries we encountered were quickly and efficiently dealt with. Our special thanks to Paul who resolved a problem of our own making without hesitation and resolved things within a couple of hours.
As others have mentioned the pool is a nice large one with sensible depths for six footers and kept at a pleasant temperature – whilst we were there we had some unsettled and quite chilly February weather but the heated pool meant that the younger ones could still enjoy the pool. There is a great barbeque that coped easily with dinner for eight of us – using it was a treat.
I could say a lot more about this villa but other reviews have said it all.

For first timers, Lanzarote is an interesting island. Time is well spent visiting the various volcanic sites in the National Parks and the houses of Cesar Manrique, Lanzarote’s revered artist.

For teenagers I would also mention surfing at Famara Beach on the North West of the island which as great, consistent, surf conditions similar to or better than good days in Cornwall. On Mike’s recommendation, we hooked up with Augustin & Monica of Kaboti Surf who have a shop in Playa Blanca - www.kabotisurf.com . Our teenagers were surfing with Augustin every morning they were with us.

I do recommend a car as central Playa Blanca is a good way away. A couple of times we walked down there for dinner but cabbed it back.

Lastly I would like reiterate that Mike and Helen are truly great villa owners in every respect and we all felt privileged to able to stay in Villa CoCo.

“Perfect, clean, quality, spacious, quiet villa”
Reviewed 17 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

This has been the best villa we have ever been to, It was lovely and clean, the fixtures and fittings are excellent, the beds are really comfy and it is very spacious. The heated pool is a nice big size and deep enough. Although it is salty water, don't let that put you off because it was a first for us and the water is really diluted.
When my extended family (5 adults, 3 children and an infant) arrived there was a great selection of food, drink, wine, water etc in the welcome pack.
All the window have shutters and mosquito grilles over them to close as you wish, which is handy to keep the rooms cool and the beasties out.
You don't really need a car as it is only a 20 min walk into town but the taxi rank is round the corner if you don't feel like it, roughly 3.50 euros to the centre.
There is a trailing lead light for the barbeque to assist cooking in the evening.
The pool table is outside, great playing in the sun with a few beers but as there was no light, it meant we couldn't play in the evening and that would be my only fault of this villa.
The staff who look after the villa are all nice and friendly and the neighbourhood was really quiet.
It was just a shame we had to go home.
Thanks to Mike & Helen (the owners) for all there help in making it a great holiday.

“Villa CoCo.....second to none!”

Well, what can I say. Villa CoCo has to be seen to be believed as the photos, no matter how good they seem, do not do this place justice.
From the moment of first contact with the owners to the time we left everything was first class.
We were a group of two families, seven in total and there was more than enough room for all of us to be doing our own thing as the villa and grounds are huge.
When we arrived there was a wonderful selection of food, drink, wine, water etc to get us started without having to rush to the supermarket.
You would be better to have a car but we were just there for two weeks of chilling out and had not booked one but it was never any hasstle as there is a taxi rank about 200m around the corner.
All the rooms are beautifully appointed and the place is spotless from top to bottom, and kept that way with a weekly clean, linen change and pool clean all done by friendly folk as well.
I know it seems as though I keep going on about how good this villa is but that's all I can do other than tell you that if you are after a luxurious villa with plenty of space and that little bit extra look no further than Villa CoCo.

“Wonderful Villa”

Villa Coco is an absolute delight. It is classy, beautifully appointed, well cared for/served and has excellent fixtures/fittings and kitchen ware. The beds are extremely comfortable and there are masses of towels and good cushions. The bathrooms are all first class.

We were a group of nine: 2 grandparents, 5 people in their 30s and 2 small children - and the Villa was perfect for us - with lots of space to have privacy and peace and quiet, plus excellent spaces for all being together and eating , swimming and enjoying each other's company.

We were lucky to have a week of lovely weather - not TOO hot but lots of sunshine and perfect for lazing about in.

We barbecued three times - perfect, and then ate out in Playa Blanca the rest of the time.

You really do need a car. We had two vehicles and that was OK. We walked down into Playa Blanca a couple of times - but didn't fancy the trek back - but the taxi was only 3.50euros

We hadn't been to Lanzarote before - not pretty I'm afraid but if you just want sun and sea and relaxation then it's good. We walked up the 'red mountain' volcano which is just near the Villa - great.

Finally, Mike & Helen who own the Villa couldn't have been more helpful about absolutely everything - we got excellent paperwork/maps/info from them before we went , plus lots of help with any little query about anything.

Overall - this was a classy holiday - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely villa to anyone

“A memorable experience”

Villa Coco provided an ideal holiday solution to our large family group (9 people); the pool kept the kids occupied all day long; BBQs in the evening or dining out at any of the very good local restaurants kept the women out of the kitchen (for a change!) An excellently furnished villa with loads of space; beautifully furnished with every conceivable gadet for modern living (Playstation, wi-fi etc.). A wonderful welcome pack of basics (including wine!) was thoughtful - and much appreciated. All our wants/needs were addressed before departing the UK. The villa exceeded our expectations (even the photographs don't do it justice.) If you are searching for a fabulous villa, in a quiet neighbourhood but within walking distance of the town of Playa Blanca or the beach, then look no further. There is not one negative comment I could make (except that we had to leave and return to dreary English weather at the end of our Christmas break.) It was superb and everyone loved it.
