Great little tapas bar a couple of roads back from the sea front. Good selection of dishes, the fried cheese particularly was superb. Great friendly service and excellent price on food and drinks! Family of 3 with drinks €35 ... great value and lots of locals in.

This is a little bit off the main tourist area but is easy to find because it is opposite the post office. Very friendly staff but they have very limited English. Tapas choices are varied and there is plenty to choose from. Great place for a snack and excellent value.

We walked passed this bar a number of times during the first week of our holiday not realising what it was. We called in for a drink after reading the reviews and were glad we did. It's a great little traditional family run tapas bar. A different tapa is presented with every drink and the owners are very friendly and good fun. It's in the back street but well worth a visit.

This little bar/restaurant is off the main seafront tourist drag, just opposite the post office and is small but perfectly formed. There are a few tables outside, on the sunny side of the street, and more inside for more formal eating.
It is spotlessly clean and run by a lovely friendly Spanish family. Joaquin, his wife Rachel and her brother Miguel prepare the freshest of tapas and offer such tasty lunches or evening meals. They bring small tasty free tapas with your drinks and everything is wonderfully fresh and appetising. Love the paella, the fresh fish and mushrooms, in fact, loved everything we ate here. We were at a Spanish friends birthday party here last night and it was a fabulous night of great company, wonderful food and good wine, best evening in Playa Blanca ever. Do yourself a favour and try it, you won't be disappointed, unless, of course, you want bland tourist fare.
Can't recommend La Tapita highly enough.

Not far from the bus station, near the post office and not 'on the front' with the tacky souvenirs, it is easily missed. However, if you want a cool drink and good, honest and tasty food amongst 'the locals' this is well worth a try and will cost you a fraction of the prices along the sea front. We enjoyed a plentiful serving of calamares and a cold beer with some complementary mussels while we waited for our freshly cooked food.
