I decided to write this review because when I came to this site looking for reviews I couldn't find any and the site I booked it on had reviews that didn't provide much info.
The Bungalows are situated in a quiet cul-de-sac at at the end of a track off the main road. It is about 5K outside Conil Town in a small Village, though its not really a village as such, just a few houses, a Camp site and 2 Restaurants dotted along a main road. (There are no pavements/walkways on the main road) and you would definitely need a car to holiday here.
Having said that, there are some lovely walks in this area and a small beach 'Cala Del Aceite' can be reached via tracks through the Forest about a 30 min walk or via car, 5 mins. (you can drive on the track that leads to the beach) On leaving the Bungalow, Turn left onto the main road and follow the road around the bend, you will see signs on the left hand side to Camping Calle Del Aceite and the follow the tracks, right towards the beach or for a longer walk along the cliff tops, bear left towards Conil, the views are fantastic!
One of the two restaurants in the village seemed to be closed the whole week we were there (Pizza restaurant),I suppose because it was the end of the season but the other one, situated on the bend leading out of the Village looked really nice (if slightly expensive) was open, though we did not try it.
For food shopping we drove into Conil, Mercadona, Dia, Supersol.
We were met at the Bungalow on arrival by Antonio, who spoke better English than my Spanish! and gave us information about the Bungalow and the local area and told us that the Pool man would arrive to clean the Pool twice whilst we were there, which he did.
The Bungalow, No 2, had a lovely Pool and plenty of space in the garden to drive your Car into, the whole garden is not overlooked because of the high wall surrounding it and a large sliding, lockable gate makes the whole place completely private. (all of the Bungalows are like this) There were 5 sunbeds and a table and chairs outside enough for 5, a built in Barbecue and washing lines to dry clothes if you do any washing.
Inside there was a Kitchen, diner, lounge all in one, with dining table, six chairs, 2 arm chairs, Sofa and a coffee table. 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and one bedroom with a double. Bathroom with Shower. There is no Air-con, just a fan. Kitchen facilities were an electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee maker (no Kettle) fridge-freezer, a strange toaster than didn't toast very well and a washing machine with only a 400 RPM spin speed! (who knew they even existed?) A TV with Spanish channels only. We used an iPad for watching TV over the internet on the one day the weather was bad. WIFI was consistently good.
The beds were not made up, we had to do that ourselves, which was fine but the quality of the sheets wasn't good, they need replacing, I don't like sleeping in dingy, grey, and thin bedding on top of horrible plastic mattress protectors, let alone one that doesn't fit the bed properly! The mattress seemed fairly new and was some sort of memory foam, we found it too hard, but that is just our opinion.
All in all, despite a few little things we didn't like, we had a really nice time, it was quiet, the weather was good the majority of the week and although this place is not luxury by any means it was great value for money and having the private pool was fantastic.
