I'm not sure why this place is not rated more highly on Trip Advisor, perhaps because it doesn't look like much, but please visit you won't be disappointed. It's always busy, mainly with Portuguese families, the staff are amazingly friendly and the food is always made to order. For this resort, which is pricey, they are excellent value too. They offer a full menu from the standard lunchtime toasties and sandwiches up to fresh seafood and cataplana. While we stuck to snacks as we were half board, we watched as people ate delicious looking sardines and chops with fresh vegetables. And did I mention the lovely staff? Go more than once and you will be rewarded with lots of smiles of recognition. The cakes look great, we've only had natas so far, perhaps a little something different today. I'm a very fussy customer and I really recommend this to you.

After walking around looking for somewhere cheap to get a sandwich we decided to try here we ordered chips and egg which was very good 2 cheese toasties that were good and bruschetta, which turned out to be a slice of tomato on a seeded roll with melted cheese ( I love real bruschetta and praia da rocha has a different take on it in every restaurant/cafe) it was all ok for a cheap lunch but the cakes are fabulous.

Great place to sit, rest and enjoy some Pastel Nata and coffees. The cafe offers a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and very friendly service. The prices are very reasonable and it is conveniently located across the street from the Algarve Hotel and Casino.

this is the best café in praia da rocha for coffee and cakes, they also have a full menu, but we only had café latte and the best portugese custard tarts ever
