I proposed to my girlfriend here, it was the most romantic, peaceful and beautiful setting. The apartments themselves are beautifully furnished with authentic antique furniture. The grounds are well kept and so full of nature that you just feel instantly relaxed. It is a pretty big estate so even if you don't want to see other people you can find your own corner and just chill out. We will definitely be going back!

Unbelievable place in Tuscany, beautiful castello with more beautiful wiews. The rooms and bathroom were clean, the swimmingpool too. This is piece of history in present. The beakfast was average, staff very helpful.

Room Tip: Few rooms are under or over and you have to walk through stairs, it can be unconfortable for older or handicapped people.

The location is ideal if you want to explore the FI-SI (Firenze-Siena) corridor and want to be away from the tourist centres and be able to walk in the country. About a 3 minute drive down to pick up the fast road into Florence or Siena, this is a restored medieval castle and grounds from which a quiet walk on a country road can start your day. Near to San Casciano in Val di Pesa (a favourite town of ours) with lots of good restaurants.
We stayed in an apartment in the Castle itself with a huge fireplace which we used quite a bit (we were there in November). Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable, although if you are looking for a 'No Surprises' type of hotel experience there are a few quirks here and there but all perfectly manageable. Having a kitchen was is always a blessing as we like to eat in sometimes.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, but this is an agriturismo as opposed to a hotel so you do not see anyone unless you go looking for them.
Each apartment has its own Wifi so you will NOT have the usual problem of having to wander around the hotel grounds looking for a signal!
Overall an excellent experience and we will definitely be back, perhaps for longer and in one of the larger and more expensive apartments.

Castello di Bibbione is a place we always stay in for at least a week when we go to Italy. We adore the setting - on the ridge overlooking a beautiful river valley, a beautiful pool and grounds to read, relax and bliss out in, carefully decorated apartments that are of generous proportions and helpful staff. The nearby town (San Casciano) has a great supermarket & we love all the restaurants we've tried there. I gather this year's summer was really hot - we always stay in late September - and judging by the fans in each room the stone buildings must have really heated up. You must have a car to stay here, it is a perfect base for exploring Tuscany.

My partner and I stayed at Castello di Bibbione and were generally happy with our stay.

The accommodation is set in a beautiful Tuscan surrounding - the views and the atmosphere are marvellous (we were in awe each morning). The service was lovely and the reception staff were very helpful. We punctured our car tyre and were offered assistance fitting the spare!

The villa we stayed in was large and unsurprisingly castle-like. Think thick brick walls, dark, and rustic. If you are after creature comforts (air conditioning, comfortable shower, luxurious bed), this may not be appropriate. However, if you are after an interesting experience in a centuries' old Tuscan setting, look no further.
