The room is a superior standard, (all that was available at short notice) and absolutely massive! A separate sitting room leading to balcony and double bedroom.

The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and the view over the pool and out to sea fantastic.

Unfortunately, due to our late arrival and early departure we couldn't try the pool but it looked wonderfully kept and the water clean.

We ate in the hotel restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and were very satisfied with the standard of food provided. The dinner was reasonably priced for a hotel, I cannot comment on wines/beer etc as we are tee-total but the prices of water and soft drinks were very reasonable (about the same as local cafes'). The breakfast was tasty, fresh and plentiful and eating next to the pool in the sun was wonderful.

There is free Wi-Fi in all the rooms, but a note of caution, there is no password and therefore the links are not secure.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

Very nice people and great service. Some of the reception workers don't speak English which is a little problematic but they are very nice and willing to help.
The hotel is pretty basic but clean and nice and in a really good location (car needed).

Spacious, quite modern, a little pricey for the drinks but the food was actually quite good. There were two other coaches there but our two Dinners and Breakfast were quite good. Sometimes a little confusing but you are in Italy. Plenty of choice and lots of fruit, plus those lovely Italian rolls at breakfast. I eat almost anything but my wife, who is quite hard to please with food found things to her liking. The rooms were great, and quiet with a free safe! The public areas were very spacious so it never felt crowded. You could walk to a small village but we never had time being on a Tour.

Room tip: Try for a sea view as the side and rear areas of the Hotel are fairly dark due to its position.

Owing to a 15-hour flight delay we were bussed here by our airline for the afternoon & an evening meal. Whilst it would not have been my first choice to stay at - Brutalist interior, bland rooms, stained communal carpets and swimming caps for the pool - the hotel deserves a big grazie for accommodating nearly 100 passengers at such short notice. Rooms were quickly prepared and a four-course evening meal served. Better than being stuck at the airport.

Never listen to people who suggest you to go to this hotel if you travel to Catania. The service is seen by us as the worst one in Europe for the 4-star hotel, it doesn't worth even 3 stars. So lets describe issues: 1. Cleaning: curtains were dusty and overalls were dirty from the 1st day of our vacation, no improvement during our vacation, i.e. cleaners have never dusted anything in our room and we could draw pictures on our dusty phone and curtains, floor wasn't cleaned well either. Another issue with cleaning: weird workers like to do vacuum cleaning in corridors after 20.00 o'clock and keep on till the night without giving a damn about good acoustics which won't let you sleep. 2. Hot water: in our last 2 days we had a water-cut, i.e. no water at all was for some time and then they gave us just cold water. Showering was impossible and no compensation in apologies have been given, instead we were angrily charged to pay a tax of 15 euros during the check out. No information was given about water-problems, you could find it out only when you entered the pool. 3. English language: there was just one guy (bold one) who could properly speak English, other workers were just worthless and the worst of all were young ladies, i.e. whatever you ask them they say "yes". Once when we asked how much does the taxi cost we got an answer "12 o'clock!" Girls could never help explain anything properly. 4. Traffic, facilities and corruption: there is no traffic going from the city to this hotel and the reception can not help you, since they got no schedule and no knowledge of English (as we said just 1 guy was able to speak well). Receptionists seem to have an "agreement" with taxi drivers which they suggest you instead of buses. They use your zero knowledge of Italian language and try to call Giuseppe to get a car from him which might be late like 45 minutes, no matter that they promise you in 10 minutes. Once we have refused to take such a late taxi from them, they threatened us that they wouldn't call any other taxi or that they would call the one from Catania which would cost us more, no matter that there were many taxi-cars in Acireale. But since they work on their "friends" they will never call other taxis. Other time we asked about the price to the station for a taxi in the morning, they told us it was 30 euros, then when we asked them to order it at 6 a.m. they started to cheat us by telling that it would cost us 35 euros for "early hours" which was a lie of course (when they know that your Italian is not good they will use it as a weakness). So I found a taxi by myself for 30 euros, the prices are fixed there. Seems the girl who was working at reception wanted 5 euros for herself. 5. Breakfast: the breakfast was quite tasty and boring: ham and cheese and the same French-Italian cookies. The service was really bad: when we entered a place for breakfast and took a seat an angry man told us that we were not allowed to take the table on which we could see forks, knives and cups, so we went to another table where we saw nothing, but the same mad guy kicked us again. So for the third time we got the "right" table. After a while we saw that other visitors could use all tables, but we were discriminated, probably, because we were not Italians. Another breakfast: my man asked about the sugar one of the guys. The male waitress decided to point my man a place where he could find it by putting his finger in my husbands cup... 6. The beach: it says that the hotel is just few meters away from the public but nothing says that the beach is just rocks and stones with no sand, no safety is arranged around, i.e. if you'll drown nobody will rescue you, no beach guards. 7. Swimming pool: the swimming pool is using the salty water from the sea, no chlorine. The pool is opened for quite short time: between 9 and 19.00, in other times it is forbidden to swim there. And we were not allowed to enter the pool without wearing a swimming cap which the pool-guy was selling. Honestly, I've never seen anything like this before. 8. WiFi: the WiFi almost never worked, i.e. too poor quality of the network. So to finalize everything: the hotel has bad cleaning, workers do not speak English well, problems with hot water, cheating from workers regarding the traffic, badly educated servants at the restaurant, no bus-schedules at the hotel, bad beach, far away from cities, no side-walkers on roads close to the hotel. Do not go to this hotel unless you are obliged to go there. But if you go you shall know that you might spend hours waiting for your bus or taxi, because nobody wants to do his job there well. In our opinion, the hotel shall close and fix problems and it shouldn't open until problems are fixed.

Room tip: Choose another hotel if you want a good room and read bad reviews
