Hospitality is not a term one can use often in Sicily, but this time it was great. A Sunday midday strolling around il Duomo we tried places for lunch all were full. In U Puttusu too, but hearing our disappointment and noticing we were lost tourists they found a table for the two of us. It was mother's day and the small place loaded with families. Next to us was a table with 12 people honoring the grandmother sitting at the head of the table. A real family affair. The service was friendly and extremely accomodating even with such a full house. We tried their 10 antipasti siciliana and it was good to share and enough but felt obliged to order two first plates. The pork involtini filled with provolone and tortellini filled with ricotta and dried tomato, very good. The house wine at 3 euros 1/4 litre quite good. They never hurried us and the only real drawback was their cash only policy.
