If you like to stay in the country side, in an original Trullo, this is the place. It is very well renovated and there is access to a small pool. It is a very quite place, and the only things that interfere with the quiteness are the birds and the cows and the cock from the nearby farm, however in no way disturbing, just charming. Tina and Tino is a lovely couple, who helps you with everything. When you arrive you find among other things eggs from the farm, potatoes, onions, garlic and in the fridge milk, cheese, pasta, ham, beer etc., and during the stay "I Tini" surprises you with cookies, bread, cherries, wallnut liquor, and other deli'es.
Go there, you will nor be disapointed.
When we were planning our trip to Puglia, a region in southern Italy, it was my wish to stay in a trullo, a conical whitewashed structure that can only be found in Alberobello and its nearby towns. So, while I started reading about the places of interest intermittently I was searching on various web portals for vacation rentals specifically a spacious trullo. There were hundreds of them as I have expected. But when we saw the lovely photos and description of Il Trullo dei Tini it was like love at first sight coupled with a slight qualm. They looked to good to be true, but nonetheless we booked it for 5 days.
The Eden-like photos of the trullo posted on its website were an appropriation of reality. No more, no less. It stood in the middle of nowhere surrounded by olive grove, flowering bushes and fruit-bearing trees. Even the rustic furnishings, which generally not my cup of tea, were nicely done up. At night, apart from the music created by the cicadas, crickets and other insects, no other noise can be heard in the environs.
Our stay in Il Trullo dei Tini was even made more comfortable by Tina, Tino and Roberta, the friendly, warmth and generous owners, who brought us not only fresh figs and prickly pears from the garden but also Pugliese specialties like the creamy stracciatella cheese and taralli pretzels that match well with wine.
Il Trullo dei Tini is a marvelous place to spend a great vacation. I fell in love with the house at first sight and we had a great time there. The house has everything you could need and is just beautiful inside out. It was the perfect place for us to have some time by ourselves but also to do fun trips to great places around. We can really recommend visiting Alberobello and Polignano a Mare, two other magical places in the area. We enjoyed the private setting and the space we had. The house was just breathtaking with every little detail, which made it hard to leave after our stay. We would love to come again soon!
