Quirky, unusual, unique. All these words apply to this accommodation. We stayed for one night on our journey south from St. Malo. For us it was a perfect stopping point. Enough driving for our first day in France and time to sample one of the many Château in the area. Yannick, the host, spoke good English, was very friendly and helpful and made the stay very relaxing.
Some points you may find helpful. The drive into the parking area has a narrow point to get through, we have a reasonably big car and it did squeeze through, if you’re not confident you can park and walk the extra distance.
The accomodation is fascinating and comfortable, but by nature can feel a little dark and claustrophobic, any more than two nights would have been too much for us.
We stayed on a Sunday, the village is pleasant and a short pleasant walk away but not much open. I would advise to ask Yannick to reserve a table in advance if you wish to eat locally,
