This is a place to avoid like the plague, we are English and bikers and we're definitely not welcome!!!
Location - out in the sticks and pretty
Room - large and nice, no tea/coffee making facilities
Our treatment- terrible, basically we were refused food in their restaurant, drinks at the bar and made very unwelcome.
We ordered food, had a couple of drinks while waiting for it, we had reserved a table as advised when booking in, we were then told we could not have food from that menu to choose from another, we did but we're still not shown to our table, the receptionist/owner, he couldn't make up his mind which he was, refused to serve us food or drinks and even shoved me and snatched the menu out of my hands and told us we could leave if we didn't like it, if we hadn't had had a couple of drinks we would have left but we were stuck.
We booked through booking.com and he informed them we were a 'no show' I believe so we wouldn't be asked to give a review.

Room Tip: Avoid this place like the plague if you are English, especially an English biker

This hotel has recently been renovated and is comfortable and clean, with good wifi. Breakfast was nice, with excellent croissants. Dinner was very good as well. The staff were friendly though the person we asked was not very knowledgeable about the area. You do need a car however to get there and visit the area.

The hotel is in a quiet area and has the only restaurant in the local area. The food we chose for the evening meal menu was excellent, well presented and beautifully cooked. The young girl who served us seemed to be doing everything, running the bar, restaurant and reception, but she was so efficient everything ran smoothly.
The room(212) was well decorated and a good size but the ceiling on one side of the bed sloped sharply making atrip in the night to the bathroom hazardous! If you have mobility issues make sure you ask for a ground floor room otherwise there are a lot of steps.

Room Tip: Wifi was very slow, it did work in bedroom but was better in lounge area

We went to the restaurant on the first evening in the region. The interior of the restaurant was quite nice, and we expected to have a good dinner. There were three napkins out of four missing on the table, and we had to ask the waitress twice to bring them. The starters were ok, as well as the meat. But, for the main dish the sauce looked like a dirty splash on the plate, and sides were all precooked potato gratin and a vegetable flan, the sort you make to use up leftover veggies from your fridge on a weeknight. Ok for a home cook, but not what you expect in a restaurant.
As for the desserts, the caramel sauce in the pear tasted bitter overburned sugar. We ordered 2 calvados with the coffee, but have not received any. They forgot to serve, but not to put it on the bill. 22 Euro for something you have not got!
Sorry to say, it was one of the rearest places tha we left without leaving any tips for the waitress.

Personally I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that I know. Most unaccommodating guy, who seemed to be in charge. We secured a two night stay with our c/card. Due to what we discovered on the first day, we wanted to cancel the second night and was told that if we did not stay the second night we would be charged the full amount; another 140 Euros for room only (no breakfast). We were told that if we did not indicate that breakfast was not required, the night before, we would be charged anyway. Bar/Restuarant only open 19:00 hrs to 21:30 hrs. For the Monday evening, unless you book a package deal (B&B and evening meal) in advance, there is only a Pizza menu on offer .Our room was clean and airy but was some 80 metres up a dirt road in a new two storey complex - great in the rain. There was no mention of this 'annex' when we booked. We were offered a smaller room within the hotel, half the size for the same price! How on earth a three star rating was achieved goodness only knows. Will be writing to the office of tourism in similar vein.

Sir,
You reserved a packadge at 2 nights in a family room(chamber) with a special "not cancellable, not modifiable" price(prize) that's why we did not accept the cancellation in the morning for that very evening. This family continuation(suite) of 45 m2 is situated in 20 meters of the hotel and has a private parking space.
Furthermore, we suggested you accommodating you in the main building, a room certainly smaller but cheaper....
For the restaurant, this one is closed on safe Monday for 1/2 boarder which have a menu defined in advance and which we prepare for the just account of 1/2 boarder. We remind you furthermore that you reserved breakfasts 2 days in a row without prendres and that we you did not charge to them.
