Very nice staff and well organized place right at the lake! Definitely recommendable! Moreover, it was very good value for money! The only kind of annoying thing was that they charge to use the wifi...

We stayed at our powered site for one night. This is a large park which was very busy. Unisex toilets/showers, generally clean but crowded.

The location of this place is pretty good as Tekapo Springs & the start of Mount John track are nearby. Also, it has good view of the lake - walk out and you're at the lakeside. It's about a couple of minutes drive to the town center so it's all good.
We booked beds in a 4-bed dorm room during our stay. The room was clean but quite small for 4 people. Kitchen was rightly sized and sufficiently equipped. The bathrooms are okay but several of us had some problems with the hot water. There was an instruction informing the backpackers to let a tap run at hot water first before starting the shower, however, we found we had to let the tap run for as long as we were in the shower. I find that a little odd because it's a lot of water wastage. If we didn't run the tap continuously, the hot water will go away while we are showering. I'm not too sure how that works but okay...
I think it's a decent place to put up for a night and maybe if we'd gotten a private room the experience could have been better.

My partner and I stayed here at the end of trip around New Zealand. We stayed in the private cabins out the back and it was in the perfect location; a lovely place to relax with brilliant views.
The room was small, but this is all we needed, we were out and about all day simply sleeping here. The only thing I could fault would be the wifi, not free and a little costly for the amount of data and how slow it was. The kitchen and bathroom facilites were always clean and although we occupied the place the same time as a large school group, we never had any issues with showers or access to kitchen facilities.

Overall this was the perfect location to relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Lake Tekapo has to offer.

This accomodation has a really good spot next to the lake and it is not far to walk up Mount John or go to the hotsprings. The rooms are very small for four backpackers and not a lot of kitchengear in the kitchen to cook with.
