we ordered coffee and scones and were advised we could not pay until we were leaving. On departure we tried to pay with cash only to be advised she did not have cash so we would have to use our Card. As we were tourists we did not have an eftpos card and only had cash on us. She quite rudely told us she is not a bank and does not have cash. Our Australian friends used their eftpos card. In all my travelling, I have never struck this so warn anyone going there to check before ordering if you want to use cash.

Not particularly looking for French cuisine - we were drawn in by the 'best scones' and 'art gallery' signage. Ordered a 'devonshire tea' (with a coffee) and two cups of hot chocolate. Scones with jam & cream arrived at the table, and the first of the drinks arrived almost 10 minutes later. I wonder how hard it can be for a restaurant to et such basic timing right? The hot chocolates were very weak and left us feeling somewhat dissatisfied. Definitely not the rich Belgian style we were expecting, and definitely not worth the $5.90 price point. We also felt let down by the service - very slow, with no attention to detail.

A little bit of France tucked away on Tamborine Mountain. Authentic food - the crepes are very good - French champagne. The highlight would be the desserts - excellent pastry chef no doubt. Check out the gallery downstairs in November 2015 for fine oil paintings.

I took my wife there for her birthday and we were trying this place for the first time. We were not disappointed!
In a quiet secluded environment, we savoured some traditional french courses including various crepes (a magnificent "Poire Belle Hélêne" dessert), a scrumptious boeuf bourguignon (with a secret beef piece that when cooked adequately literally melts in your mouth), with uncannily sweet turnips from their own gardens (secret potting recipe to keep them beautifully sweet) and a perfectly baked gratin dauphinois.
My adolescent son indulged himself to the pinnacle, a "Crème brûlée" crisped to perfection. I can't say much more!!! Not to mention my sizeable beautifully agreemented foie gras with beautifully baked apple slices!!! Sure, you can eat for cheaper on a Sunday afternoon, but we wanted to celebrate life and a birthday, right?! What better place... Not to mention a service that make you feel like you're part of the family. And a garden (actually, a veggie garden and a vineyard in the making) where you can wander off in-between courses. Thank you Isabelle. :)

We were lured into La Ferme by the blackboard out the front offering fresh scones. In the event we tried onion tart, duck terrine and endive & bacon salad and had no room left for scones. We were delighted by the freshness and quality of our meals, and could not fault the personal service of Isabelle the owner/chef and her staff. Highly recommended
