my husband and I spent two nights in this hotel with another couple. Some of the staff were underwhelming in their attitude while others were very helpful. I was gobsmacked when presented with raw chicken breast which when returned to be cooked was brought back almost in the same state minutes later when we dined there. The management seemed not to care at the serious potential risk of serving chicken raw. We also discovered after our room had been cleaned on our last day that neither lock on the window(hidden behind voile curtains) actually had working locks .. As this room is on the ground floor there is the potential for burglary if someone gets into the grounds.
If you are staying here go out and eat at a restaurant a couple of minutes walk from the hotel called El mercadito. This is a popular small restaurant filled with locals. There is a waitress / trainee sommelier who had a terrific knowledge of argentinian wines . Try the more expensive Torrontes on the menu! delicious ! Book ahead of travelling if you wish to visit the larger winerys in this region.
For a fantastic lunch and wine tasting try Lagarde winery especially their malbec 'Henry' - best wine we tasted in the 4 weeks we were travelling . This is another short walk form the hotel. For a charming completely different type of wine tasting visit Carmello Patti literally across the road from Lagarde visit this before lagarde .Expect a very enthusiastic ex sicilian owner who blends grapes in his garage.. Be warned you need spanish as he speaks virtually no english .

Room Tip: Avoid room 1 see review try room 6 as safer and has bath as well as shower

Fantastic hotel away from the city, relaxing and comfortable. Some of the nicest and friendliest staff you could hope for and excellent food and wine! The perfect stay and ideally situated for the local vineyards - we were recommended the Clos de Chacras where we had a delicious seven course taster lunch with a wine for every course! One of the best way to spend anafternoon and all thanks to the helpful staff at the Lares de Chacras

We can't speak highly enough about this gem. Even before our stay the staff (especially Mariana) were incredible to communicate with and were extremely responsive to all of our questions. They lined up all of our wine tasting and transportation! Upon arrival Mariana was so wonderful and it felt like we were being greeted by friends. All of the accommodations were lovely and so clean. They made sure we were comfortable and happy our entire stay. The location is very central in the charming town of Chacras de Coria.

Very nice accommodations. Beautiful property and rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location near restaurants, wineries etc outside of Mendoza. Breakfast is also good, you can get eggs to order which is rare in Argentina. Dinner was okay, a bit bland compared to other restaurants and there are many other options nearby.

The hotel is intimate and beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We decided to stay in one night. The dinner in the restaurant was exceptional.

The town itself is small but very quaint. I'd make this my base for Mendoza.

Mendoza is a great town too. It is fun to go in for dinner on the main cafe street. It is full of life and energy. Probably about a seven dollar can ride.

The wine of course needs no reviews. We know this area produces some outstanding wine.

Enjoy the area and enjoy this hotel.
