Our host in Meano/Pontevedra recommended that we stop at this Parador for lunch on our way to our next destination. And, what a good decision this was! The monastery has been stunningly restored after having been a co-ed boarding school after the padres had left. It is now a fully functioning hotel and restaurant set in a tranquil area of Cantabria.
The waiters were efficient, the wine list very good with lots of local wines from Rias Baixas on offer. The food was tasty and well presented. Highly recommended if you ever find your way in this part of Northern Spain.
