If you find yourself in the middle of Tuscany looking for a non-tourist place to have great meal, then it's hard to imagine finding a better place.

Simple, simple, simple. They have it nailed. Super fresh "insalata". No need for fancy house dressing, a little balsamico and oilo goes a long way. Seriously.

Monster florentina steak cooked exactly as requested. Fried potato chips to perfection. Oh, and a great bottle of Tuscany wine, for what you would pay in a tourist shop. To go (take away).

Be prepared to speak your best Italian and they will meet you more than half way. You will be surprised walking in and elated walking out.

Can't give them enough stars. Snobs need to find another place to eat, don't screw this up for the rest of us.

I went today with my friends for lunch for eat a good Florence steak! We didn’t wrong! Very small location, nothing to special if you see it outside but the food was amazing! We ate “marcellone” was a started with cheese, honey, cured meat and beuschette with liver. After that 1,6 kg of Florence steak! See the picture for enjoy this meat! Very good wine like “Villino Chianti Classico”. Finally strange and particular potateos housemade, very nice.

This small, family owned locale gets better and better. And after their refurbishment, they are back as strong as ever. Don't miss it if in the area. Great for tagliata (beef steak) , home made crisps and sage, to share. Or the mix of grilled meats and many Tuscan dishes also available and good.
The walls have been repainted but there is always a pen available to leave your own visitor comment or thoughts on life and love. It's small so do book, as frequented by the locals.

We were two, we started with one portion of Pappa al pomodoro shared among us: a big bowl was served with a wonderful typical tomato soup with bread. Then we decided to go for a grigliata for two person (mix of various types of meats) with salads and beans: it was a lot and it was hard to finish but the meat was absolutely wonderful!!! We drunk water and a glass of Chianti wine (wine of the house, very good and cheap) and as a dessert we took the typical "cantucci e vin santo". The place is very small, conducted by a family which are absolutely lovely. Better to reserve. The overall rating from is absolutely good: meat quality and quantity is great (it was hard to walk out from the restaurant, our stomaches were totally full), it is VERY cheap: grigliata for 2 is €25, in the end we paid €42 in total. We will for sure come back! Thank you!

We just ate here a few minutes ago and it was perfect. We took a starter to share which was really tasty. We then share the Grigliata, it was cooked perfectly. The local dessert and wine were also really good. And not to mention the kindness of the waitress. Don't hesitate and come in this typical restaurant (no tourist here)
