This place was so nice. Our room was big and comfortable, breakfast was so nice served and presented and coffee was awesome. Service fantastic and Gabriella was always there to help with anything we needed. We had a problem with our car rental and Gabriella helped us all the way. Would definitely come back.

My wife and I had been to Italy several times visiting places like Rome, Florence & Venice but we did not feel like we really experienced Italy until we stayed 5 nights in Tuscany at this beautiful gem of an inn. When we arrived Gabriella (one of the sisters who own & manage the hotel) met us in the parking lot and insisted on helping with luggage and getting us settled in our room. She could not have been more welcoming.

The entire property is serene and beautiful. The room is very comfortable though not in a luxurious or opulent manner. There is a beautiful pool and gardens and hammock. There is a walking path around the entire property.

Breakfast is delicious. Gabriella or her equally accommodating sister Simonetta are almost always there and eager to please. You really feel like a guest in their home rather than a hotel guest.

La Saracina is well situated for day trips to the charming towns of Pienza, Montalcino (home of Brunello) or Montepulciano (home of Vino Nobile). There are excellent restaurants in all three towns. The countryside around La Saracina is gorgeous. I have recommended that my son honeymoon here next year as it is very romantic. My wife and I will return. The only thing that could make our stay more perfect would be a no children policy. For some unknown reason, as it does not seem like a place for children, the gentleman in the room next to us brought a rather noisy child with him.

Great location, incredible decoration and super friendly service. Breakfast is served in an incredible place. The actual food is more aesthetic than actually tasty, but it is the location you are paying for.
If you are looking for cheap, don´t go ahead. But if you are obsessed about the details, this is the place to stay. We enjoyed it very much.

La Saracina is a serene, beautiful oasis a short drive from Pienza, Montepulciano, and Montefollonico. We give it our very highest and most enthusiastic recommendation.

The rustic and tasteful decor, magnificent setting, and spacious room all contributed to a most pleasurable 6 night stay. The sumptuous and delicious breakfasts are unmatched and absolutely not to be missed.

Gabriella's charm, warmth and helpful suggestions made our stay a delight. We suggest you put away your guidebooks and accept her restaurant recommendations. All of our meals were terrific. Gabriella will gladly make the reservations.

La Saracina was a highlight of our three week visit to Italy and we most definitely shall stay there again next year and hopefully many years into the future.

I feel lucky I had the opportunity to stay at La Saracina, my only wish is that we could have stayed longer. It is such a nice little hotel perched on the country side with sheep grazing on the hillside, we could actually hear them while having breakfast. Gabriella is one of the two sisters who owns the hotel, and was such a gracious hostess during our one night stay. She made sure we were well taken care of, and she makes the most incredible organic breakfast. She even brought us a tray of snacks and two glasses of wine to our room upon arrival, which was very enjoyable after a long day of driving. Gabriella was, without a doubt, the nicest person we met in all of Italy.

There were so many nice touches around the estate. The little garden, the grape vines, the olive trees, the pool with lounge chairs, we enjoyed just walking around the property and gazing at the magnificent views of Montipullciano and the surrounding countryside. It is so beautiful and everything was in bloom at the time.

The room was incredible, I would highly suggest reserving one of the suites, they are huge and ornately decorated, everything seemed to be in the right place. It's the small things which make it so impressive, the old wooden dresser, the bedding, candles scattered throughout, a wooden fireplace ready to be lit, old exposed wooden beams, and a nice little outdoor patio with a table and chairs. It is all very eccentric. We started a fire at night and it greatly enhanced the cozy and warm ambiance.

I can't say enough about Gabriella and the property itself. We live in Texas, and to find such a gem, outside of little Pienza (just a short 10 min drive away), is the reason we felt very lucky to experience it. We stay at many bed and breakfast type places in the hill country of Texas, but La Saracina was completely on another level. We truly hope to find our way back one day so we can stay longer.

In short, I travel all around the world for work and pleasure, and have never found a place quite like this. The air is crisp and refreshing, the smell of flowers are entrancing, and the service is so welcoming that we felt like a part of their family. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend that you don't pass it up, and that you too can experience this enchanting place as well.
