1 review We stayed at Las Marias Cabin for a few nights, and everything was wonderful. It is a brand new cabin with a fully equipped kitchen, which was great for cooking instead of going out to eat. The property is very peaceful and we saw many birds during our stay. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place close to town, but without all the noise that comes with being close to town. The owners grew up in the area and can answer any questions you have. I would definitely recommend Las Marias Cabin, and am looking forward to my next visit.

Stay for 3 nights in this small but beautiful cabin. Kitchen full equiped, away from the town but surround by the forest. I went only to do birdwatching and the place was amazing, toucan, bell bird, blue jay, trogon and many many more... I recomend this place if you have a car, at the end it-s only few minutes driving in a dirth road. The owners very helpfull and nice, the Price for night is very good for the quality of the cabin.
I will be back next year.

We stayed at Las Marias cabin for 2 nights and it was fantastic! The location is very private and quiet - and the views from the deck are amazing. Beautiful mountain views with refreshing breezes and great for birdwatching and stargazing.
The fully-equipped kitchen was especially nice to have for cooking meals and having morning and afternoon Costa Rican coffee!
The interior is very clean and spacious with high ceilings and lots of natural light. I would definitely highly recommend Las Marias and am looking forward to returning next year!

Brand new cabin (finished in August 2015), with beautiful mountain views!! Lots of green! The property is over an acre surrounding the house. Lots of wildlife, birds (keel billed toucans), white face capuchin monkeys, butterflies, agoutis; we even saw an armadillo! With room for 3 people (two floors), a full kitchen and full bath. Less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Santa Elena. The owners are excellent local naturalist guides, so ask them about birding tours. Will definitely come back!
