I spent two nights here as a solo traveler.
I loved the location of this hotel. It's a bit hidden and close enough walk to downtown Santa Elena, but far enough away that you don't feel stuck in a tourist trap.
As soon as I arrived I felt welcomed. Jose helped me book the tours I wanted as soon as I walked in the door. The exterior of the hotel is very quaint- you feel like you are in a remote country town- which you kind of are.
The breakfast was great! The rooms are very simple, but extremely comfortable. Very clean and relaxing after all those hikes you will do in Monteverde. Highly recommended option close to town. Got tons of exercise walking up and down from hotel to town! More
