We stayed in a wonderful superior room for our small family - lots of room, with wonderful wood throughout. Lovely manicured grounds, and right it town so can walk to many of the local restaurants. Tours will pick you up right at the hotel. Nice bathroom, small in room fridge, deck to sit and read on, nice overall accommodations. Very nice buffet breakfast included (part local Costa Rica with some European faire, and very fresh eggs cooked to order). Wonderful service. Only downside - beds were a little firm and right in town also means you can hear the traffic in the evenings, a rooster in the morning and the youth travelers at the hostel next door. We would definitely stay here again - great rooms and stay for the price.

This is a beautiful little hotel tucked away on its own campus but right in the heart of town. I stayed in a private cabin with a balcony overlooking dense greenery (the bathroom was also lovely), but cafes and restaurants where just steps away. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. Everything can be booked through reception. Breakfast is great and it was ready for me when I wandered it at 6:15AM. They also have a well stocked library if you run out of reading material.

Room Tip: The private cabin was delightful

I had a great 3-night stay here, it was perfect for me as a solo traveler....lovely setting, comfortable accommodation, great breakfasts, friendly staff, and close to all the Santa Elena restaurants & attractions. I got the help I needed to arrange transport and had loved having Arco Iris as my home base to explore the cloud forest preserves.

Acro Iris is a beautiful resort, staff are extremely warm and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Roomy rooms. We stayed in downstair suite which has bunk beds and kitchenette, double shower heads, a lot of space. Monteverde is a very charming town which has abundant great restaurants and good price. About 15-20 minutes drive to ziplines, national parks, etc.

Room Tip: ask for suite which has kitchenette

Arco Iris is located in the heart of Santa Elena but you don't feel like you are in the heart of the town. You can stay outside of town but you have a long drive to do anything else. If you want to be able to walk around town but still feel like you aren't in the middle of town you stay here. The location is back up in its own isolated hill side. Short walk to really good restaurants and the other tourist stuff but when you are on the grounds other than just a little traffic noise during the day you feel like you are in a quiet little resort hotel away from town. We loved it. The staff was really friendly, the breakfast which was included for us was great. We had single bed room with a loft that could easily accommodate 5. Rooms were very clean. Strongly recommend.
