I visit The Rock each time I am in Zanzibar. The unbeatable location and good food is overwhelmingly spoilt by the end of the evening’s saga of checking the bill, which always seems to include items you did not order or multiples of items you may have ordered….. My last experience end of February 2018 was disappointingly again the same. Multiple additions to the bill however on this occasion I was also conned into paying twice as I was advised that my credit card payment had not gone through and was asked to pay by cash. In good faith I did so to discover later that evening that the credit card charge has been processed. Follow up communication by telephone and email did not elicit even a courtesy response. So Buyer Beware – Unacceptable Behaviour. Perhaps repeat business is not expected? I shall be seeking an alternative next visit. Ripped off regularly is unacceptable.
